I think I've read all of his "Kramer/Zondi" novels now, and this one ranks near the bottom in my opinion. Can't really put my finger on it, but I lost interest in the middle and had to push myself to the finish. This is unusual for this author, McClure, for his other third person narratives are suspensful all the way through.
