I purchased this umbrella the beginning of July. The lights worked once. Then they stopped working a few days later. Apparently, it is a problem with the switch, not the lights or battery. I have tried to work things out with the company, and they no longer have this particular (12-light) umbrella in stock. They will issue me a refund. I will purchase (fingers crossed!) the 24-light umbrella, because it is really a beautiful umbrella and the concept is nice.

For $89.99, this umbrella rocks. It goes up and down easily with the hand crank, is a pretty gunmetal gray color and there is no brass on this entire umbrella. Most importantly, the 16 lights let off a soft glow nice enough to see your company and even enough to play cards. I was wondering if I should buy the same umbrella with 24 lights for $119 (I think), however the 16 lights are plenty. -I'm changing my review because the lights no longer work. As soon as I put it up in June, the light switch did not work. Save your money and just buy an umbrella that is not lit. Nice concept but not when it doesn't work.

Gave this item a 4 star and not a five for two reason. Where the arms connect to the umbrella I have had a couple of screws come loose. One lost out and I had to get a replacement and I tightened the others. The second one of the lights was not working but it did come with 2 replacement bulbs. Hopefully that will correct that issue. Now for the good. Umbrella seems like it is well constructed and I am very pleased with it. I am probably most surprised with the amount of light the umbrella puts off. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase.

When this shade umbrella arrived it took me 10 minutes to put up. I thought I might be disappointed
because it had only 2 lights per support, when it got dark and the lights went on they were so bright!
If you have a glass table it makes them even brighter. I am so glad I bought this umbrella.

I was initially happy with this umbrella. It was plenty big and lit up admirably. We were careful to collapse it whenever there was a storm or strong wind. This is why I was surprised to find that one of the arms was all out of whack due to a screw that fell out. This happened during a storm, but while the umbrella was down. We fixed that arm and I hoped that it was a fluke. In short order, this happened to two more arms. Now we keep fixing them, and the screws keep falling out. The color is also fading noticeably. This has all happened within the same season. Bought it right before July 4th of 2011 and it;s already pretty much shot by November. I feel cheated out of $100 bucks.

I purchased this for our backyard and could not be happier. It is well made and the lighting is good. I would recommend this product.

This is large and well made.The LED lights are wonderful at night throwing a great deal of illumination and best of all do not attract bugs.

I love the size and the solar lights. They are awesome. I did think the color was a little darker than expected but that could just be me. Overall this umbrella is awesome.

Bought for my daughter as a housewarming gift. She really loved it, with the lights she can sit out on her patio in the evening. The lights are great with the solar top.
