4.0 out of 5 stars Sunex 1/2" Drive 10-150 ft. lbs
I purchased this wrench to work on my motorcycle. I previously owned a snap on and this one isn't as finished but it is solidly built and will get the job done. No issues and for the price I'm very pleased. I would recommended it to anyone looking not to spend 4-5 times as much on a name brand.

2.0 out of 5 stars A good 20-100 ft lb torque wrench (not 10-150)
Great price and it does work; there's a noticeable click when the torque limit is hit. But the lowest torque marking is 20 lbs, not 10 lbs. And it's very hard to adjust the torque to the higher range - I can't get it past 100 lbs by hand.

3.0 out of 5 stars Passable, but I'd buy a better one next time, December 23, 2009

I probably ordered this torque wrench expecting a better value, so that's my failed expectation. As others have pointed out, it can be difficult to adjust beyond 100 ft. lbs and this makes me wonder about its accuracy. In my case I wanted it only to torque lug nuts, as I've got a high quality 3/8" drive torque wrench for those times when greater precision is required. If you are more than an occasional mechanic, I'd look to spending more money on this tool; if it is for occasional use where absolute precision is not mandatory, it's probably ok.

3.0 out of 5 stars The 9701A is NOT 10-150 ft lbs (it is 20-150), December 4, 2009

Seems like a well made and easy to use tool but... the product is not as described.

The description on Amazon AND the product's own packaging both clearly state "10-150 ft. lbs", which is what I needed, but upon opening the package I found that the lowest setting on the tool is 20 ft lb. The instruction leaflet that comes in the box also states 20-150 ft lb, not 10-150.
(An earlier reviewer spotted this too - shame I did not read all the reviews!)

So, if you need to go down to 10ft lb, this is not the one for you.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good, October 18, 2009

I am quite happy with the torque wrench so far. The quality looks good and it comes with a nice case. The price is great. I bought this torque wrench to use in my garage. I do most of the maintenance and repair on both of my cars. So far I've used it to torque the lug nuts on my cars at about 90 lb-ft. I haven't tried it at higher range. Operation is simple, just turn the end dial to the desired torque either in lb-ft or N-m, and the wrench clicks when the applied torque passes the dialed torque setting.

It is really not that practical to use it at low torque applications because of the 1/2 inch drive and the size of the torque wrench.

4.0 out of 5 stars Worked well, January 24, 2012

I bought this for a rebuild on my motorcycle and it worked well. I only used it in the mid-range (40-80 ft lbs) and it performed as expected. I cannot speak for the extremes, but I know torque wrenches rarely are accurate at the extreme ranges. Overall, I am happy with it.

Solid, well built, came with clear instructions, the case is strong. what else? it's cheap (if you compare it with a snap-on) works well. I'm not a heavy user.
