Review

"A truly fabulous read! This story comes vibrantly alive, making you laugh and cry..." Affaire de Coeur

From the Author

Aloha and Note to My Readers,

Published in 1988, this book is NOT an inspirational romance.

SUNFLOWER is definitely rated R and contains explicit love scenes.
Winner of the Romance Writers of America's Golden Heart as well as the Golden Medallion (later to become the RITA award) this is my first published full length novel.

As always, I have filled it with memorable characters, texture and emotion, but again, please note it's NOT an inspirational romance written for the Christian market.

I love to hear from readers on facebook and my web page at jillmarielandis.com

On what makes a romance September 10, 2011
Format:Kindle Edition
If this book were a movie, it would be "R" rated, so for those who like their romances "sweet," this is not a romance.

There are, however, many readers who like their love stories a little more graphic. The sex in this book is not terribly graphic (a little racier than "Dances with Wolves") and it is beautifully written. Some people (and I am one of them) believe that sex is part of love and don't mind reading it in a romance novel. Others avoid it.

For myself, I love this book It has a wonderful love story, amazing descriptions and a good mystery in it. It is one of my all-favorite romances and the scene in which Caleb comes upon Analissa's soddy is just amazing. I will never forget it.

Good story September 9, 2011
By M.Mills
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I read this at the recommendation of a friend and enjoyed the story very much. Whenever I read about the difficulties the early settlors of the United States faced, I feel appreciation for their struggles and their incredible stamina in trying to survive. Those struggles are well depicted in this story. The main character, Analisa, is a woman who has survived a horrible tragedy. She is a strong, clever and hardworking woman.
I feel that the romance between Analisa and her husband is quite lovely. My preference for sexual scenes is that they be left to one's imagination. There are a few explicit scenes in the book but they are not offensive. That said, the growing love between the couple makes for an especially enjoyable read.

Way too much graphic sex August 18, 2011
By pamelag
Format:Kindle Edition
I got this book for my kindle and had read others from this author before. I also thought she was a Christian author, it surprised me that there was graphic sex in the book. I never finished the book and would not recommend it.
