Excellent Reading for Beginning First Grade,
By Cynthia L Wittich (The Villages, FL United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sunflowers (Plants: Life Cycles) (Library Binding)
Gail Saunders-Smith does an excellent job of showing the cycle of growing sunflowers in photos and text. The text is simple and supported by the beautiful, detailed photos which makes it an easy read for beginning first graders. Sunflowers is a well organized information book. It would make a great addition to any child's bookshelf.

Great Kid's Book!,
By Dr. Christopher J. Kline "SunflowerOcity" (Paradise Valley, AZ USA) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)
This review is from: Sunflowers (Plants: Life Cycles) (Library Binding)
This is a great kid's book. My six year old daughter is a beginning reader and she loved the book. We grow sunflowers at home so my daughter had some first hand knowledge of the life cycle of growing sunflowers which the author presents so well in photos and text. Get the book for a child and then make a project out of growing a few sunflowers. You will have a blast.
