I bought this trying to find an inverter that would consume low standby power for a solor project that would run one hour per night. Certainly the people at SUNFORCE would have their stuff together and realize that a solor project must be thrifty since it has limited "income". If the inverter is powered up with no load, it should just sit there until it has work to do. The larger ones power up silent and have the fan come on when: A= The load increases generating heat, or B= the internal temp climbs making the fan necessary. This is just 2 more semiconductors guys!
This one, if it's powered up; the fan runs and runs. Doesn't matter if it's 35°F and there is no load on it at all.
Anyone that has PC's for years realize that fans last 5 years at best then it's on to the junkyard.
I have to find one with "low quiescent drain"...
Hints appreciated.
