I used it to repelle moles in my garden. it work in the begining but a month later you can see mole activity. I have 2 as directed by vendor(within 60 ft). I got a third one at front yard, this one do not work at all the mole dig holes right on the repeller.it may be defective. it is not the best way to combat moles. it is more like a toy...

This is a complete waste of money. I have used these for a number of weeks and if anything the mole problem is worse. They have tunnels right up to the repeller and don't seem to mind them at all. They are working as far as noise and vibration it's just that they don't repel the moles.

Just days after placing two solar pest repellers exactly as recommended, I have 10 new mole mounds. In fact, one of the mounds literally abuts one of the repellers. My husband burst out laughing at the irony. It's as if the mole stuck its middle "finger" up at us. I sure had high hopes as the moles are just destroying our lawn, but I absolutely cannot recommend them. I also had no luck with any of the granules or liquids either. Next up are those worm baits.

Haven't seen a mole hole, since the day I put these in my lawn! I absolutely recommend! I bought 3 of them. 2 for my back yard and one for my front..

Works but not on all rodents,

This has cut down on some rodents digging in our yard, but not ground squirrels. The spikes are really long and our yard's soil is very firm so I had to dig at least a 1 ft. deep hole to put the spike in then fill around it. We still have ground squirrels digging dens in the yard.

Have seen a slight decrease in the amount of dirt on my sidewalk and patio. Still in my flower beds and eating flower buds.
Not worth the price.

These arrived in June 2011 and went immediately into the ground. It is now seven months later, a new year, and the rodents are still destroying the lawn. Each stake is supposed to cover a 5000 sq ft area... I have two planted on opposite sides of a mediocre urban-sized lawn with no effect. They only get 1 star because (a) I can't give zero stars and (b) at least the solar battery is still working. I still hear them buzzing off every 25 seconds or so.What's most disappointing is that I also had a mole problem at my last home prior to this one; but there I installed _one_ battery powered mole stake (4 'D' cells) for a larger lawn area than I have now, and it worked great! I had high expectations for these solar-powered ones, but they let me down big-time. Save your money for something more effective.

Its bad when the moles dig tunnels right next to the stupid thing. Birds sit on top of them. They have no value.

I purchased these quite some time ago. It may have been 2 years by now. I still haven't had to use them and don't really want to. But I know that if I do get a varment ruining my yard, I'll have them. I take very good care of my yard and it's not just because I like to work in the yard. I spend my days at a computer 8-10-12 hours every day and need some physical activety to break up my life. Just after I had my yard hydroseeded and was on my way to a thick lush yard I got Gophers. I had previously purchased 2 battery powered thumpers similar to these solar powered ones. There's the need to buy and replace the batteries and the need to keep checking on them to make sure they are working (loose battery, dead battery, 'O'ring not in properly causing water to leach into battery area). They worked and got rid of the gophers, but these new Solar Thumpers are a no-brainer and much easier to use.
