There is nothing in the photo for reference, but this light is quite large. The reflector is fairly cheap, but it works great as a strong spotlight and super-wide floodlight simultaneously. If you're looking for strictly one or the other, you may disappointed, but for me, it's a perfect combination.

This is a battery-powered, rechargeable unit containing a high pressure xenon bulb in front of a parabolic reflector. The case is reasonably rugged. An AC charger and a vehicle lighter charger are included. The unit is provided with a shoulder strap and comes with a fold-out bipod stand. As nice as these features might be, the beam appears to be much weaker than traditional "sun guns" and the beam is poorly formed. That means that the bulb and the reflector geometry are not matched, so that the beam is not uniform and is poorly focused. "Blotchy" is the term that comes to mind. A lot of light power is lost outside the principal beam. The claims of 25 million candle power almost certainly cannot be justified.

My gf bought this spotlight for me, because it is the largest CP spot advertised. I couldn't wait to charge it up and try it out. Yes, it's bright...wow, the lens is approximately the diameter of a soccer ball, why wouldn't it be? However this thing is no brighter than most other 15 or 20 mil. CP spotlights I've ever seen. At about $130, this thing is a waist of money...you can get one just as bright for much less than $100.

It will be very helpful as I am in the Coastguard Auxilary.The spotlight will be used for search and rescue.The spotlight works well for SAR( search and rescue) and would be recommended for all , especially police and military.
