Editorial Reviews

Review

"Dr. Kime's book, in my opinion, represents the biggest step forward to date in bringing together the sceintific data and practical medical application of sunlight to human health... The scope of this book is spellbinding, and I strongly recommend it to everybody interested in living longer and enjoying better health." John Ott, ScD (Director of Environmental Health and LIght Institute(ret.)

"Sunlight is excellently written for general reading, and yet is in careful tune with the latest scientific literature in the field. I endorse this book as a correlative reading for anyone in an exercise program." Thomas K. Cureton, Jr., PhD (professor Emeritus, University of Illinois) -- From the Publisher

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book on the importance of sunlight in health, May 17, 1998
By
This review is from: Sunlight (Paperback)
This is a first rate book that counters the prevailing dogma about the harmfullness of sunlight by showing how the wise use of sunlight can dramatically improve your health. He discusses the long history of sun therapy in medicine and explains why proper diet is essential in order to reap the beneficial effects of the sun. He asserts that given the proper nutrients to protect your skin and with controlled exposure sunlight will not age your skin but keep it youthful and glowing. Well documented with scientific studies. The author has a gift for clearly explaining the science involved to the lay reader. This is a genuinely important book for those interested in human health and natural therapies. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars 5 Months of Daily Tanning Later & Excellent Health, December 11, 2000

This review is from: Sunlight (Paperback)
Dr. Kime's book is easy to read, informative for laymen, yet fully scientifically documented and researched, and most interesting reading for everyone interested in adopting a full regimen of health reform, adding daily sunlight to diet, exercise, fresh air, pure water, etc. After 5 months of 4 to 5 day per week full-body tanning, my skin feels alive and healthy, as never before. A former pre-cancerous mole has practically disappeared without any other type of treatment. Sunlight is a healer, and Dr. Kime's book is right on target with truth incontrovertible and should be studied by everyone living in this ozone-depleted world today! royl@harborside.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Dr. Kime Put His Ideas to Work, March 27, 2003
By
Ric Windmiller (Elk Grove, California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sunlight (Paperback)
When I was a patient of Dr. Kime's, like his other patients, we were all encouraged to read his book. Most of us had been to other physicians who couldn't help us. Gradual exposure to sunlight coupled with a diet that gradually introduced raw foods was a part of our treatment. I certainly flourished under Dr. Kime's regimen. Within a few months, we all looked like the healthiest bunch of sick people you ever saw. Though I was told by others that I would never recover--I did recover and lead a normal life, thanks to Dr. Kime's research, his book and his course of treatment. His understanding of sunlight and its role in not only maintaining, but returning one to health seems unique. The book is worthwhile reading for anyone who wants optimum health and an alternative to the typical medical response that exposure to the sun is bad for you.
