I bought two pair, one for my Forge Sconset Beach Cruiser Bike - Skyscape Blue and one for my exercise bike. So nice to have smooth rounded corners on the beach cruiser, really saves the ol' shins when I'm walking the bike and manage to collide with the pedals. My exercise bike, MagneTrainer Mini Exercise Bike, it had these narrow pedals that I suppose are fine if you have shoes on but I can't see putting on shoes to exercise indoors. Now I can pedal in comfort with only socks on my feet.

Do you live at the beach?
Hop on your bike for short trips around the beach or boardwalk?

If you answered yes to either of those questions, you should get these pedals. There are no amber reflectors in them, but if you have a flat-head screwdriver and a caveman size brain, you can figure out how to swap your old reflectors into these new pedals. It's easy as pie.

I bought these pedals because I like to spend as much time barefoot as possible. While the concept and design look pretty good, the execution is pretty bad. The platform size of these pedals is much too small to be comfortable when barefoot. Also the bearings on the pedals axles are very bad, very gritty feeling. They were actually so stiff that it felt like I was riding one or two gears higher than the actual gear I was in. I tried them out and had to stop after only a mile or so and put on my stiff-soled flip flops. Good thing I brought them.

Only good thing is that they didn't break when I had to stand on them while climbing a steep grassy hill while also hauling an extra 60+ lbs (my son and his trailer) behind my bike. I was a bit surprised that they held up to that pressure. But I think I'll be putting my aluminum platform pedals back on.

The perfect replacement pedals for your beach cruiser bike. I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned, but these pedals do have the same design on both sides. The circular areas are a very fine grip tape. So, if you actually do ride ON the beach and your feet get sandy, then you quickly render the grip tape bits useless. They fill up with sand which can only really be removed by washing your bike.

These are the only pedals I've ever seen marketed for barefoot riders. I've ridden my bike to work in the morning several times in the rain with no shoes on and they are alright.

half-inch shafts fir most older one-piece cranks (old Schwinn cruisers)
These pedals look great, and cost less that O.E.M., and are pretty good quality.

I bought these for an exercise bike that I restored from a second hand store.
They work great at holding my feet in place and are very solid.

I got the pedals quickly and have been using them for about a month now. I love them. Exactly what I wanted/needed for my bike.

I have not yet installed these pedals, as I am waiting for a response from the seller Niagra cycle works.

They don't have reflectors, although there is a place for them, and the bearings seem to be dry at best, and feel like they are bad (rough with spots?).

I hope they respond, as I like the pedal design, with the circles being the no-slip material.
