5.0 out of 5 stars Decent Quality Mirror
Well, what else could I say other than, it's a mirror.
It works very well for checking the traffic behind you while
biking through the neighborhood. It is very adjustable and the mirror
itself is glass. This is a good product and standard shipping got it
to me in 3 days. I give it 5 stars because it is a decent quality

3.0 out of 5 stars Too Cheap
It met the goal of getting the bike past inspection, but the vibrations caused the nuts to loosen rather quickly and it doesn't have the length to provide a good rearward view. Needs to be a little more substantial for everyday use.

ps - cut a small piece of an old innertube to fit between the mount and
the handlebar, it will keep the mirror steady and not scratch your
chromed or painted bars.

The mirror works perfectly, shipping was rapid and all together great. If you have a bike with awckward handle bars, not to worry itll attach and works great. Wonderful buy.

I got two of them, and though i labeled it 5 stars, i do have some beef with them.

The mounting didn't really fit my handlebars terribly well, though it does hold tight. When going over bumps, the mirrors would tilt one way or another, and i had to constantly adjust them because of this.

So i got some 1/4 inch washers, and some lock washers too. The washers i was initially going to use between the mount part the bar slips through to add some spacing and provide more pressure for the nuts and lock washers i put on the outside, but the diameter of the ones on the inside were too big and didn't allow me to accomplish the task i set out to do. Next pay check.

As for now though, i did add the lock washers with the nuts, and it seems to be holding it tight. The real test will come later when i set out for a bike ride.

All in all, they're mirrors, and help out alot in my commute. With some modification, they can be great mirrors, and thus the 5. My bike is my pet project so, it gives me something to overcome and accomplish.

3.0 out of 5 stars Nuts Stripped Too Easily, August 27, 2009

The mirror and mounting seem like a fine product, but the nuts that came with mine fit somewhat loose on the threads of the mirror and got stripped very easily. I will be getting some different nuts that fit better and trying that...

This is not very exciting, just a basic mirror; but I couldn't find one in nearby stores and this worked out to be convenient and inexpensive. Glad I found it.

2.0 out of 5 stars small mirror, points random directions, June 10, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sunlite Bicycle 3" Round Mirror with Yellow Reflector (Misc.)
This mirror is great for getting the bugs unstuck from your teeth while racing around on your bike. It's a 3in diameter compact mirror attached to an arm about 5-6 inches in length. Pee Wee Herman would be jealous of this wonderful mirror. The mount has been designed so that when you tighten it the arm can still rotate freely within the mounting bracket, making it fun to continuously adjust while riding. The bracket is expertly engraved with a large Made in Taiwan logo, it looks classy! As other commenters have suggested, locking nuts from the hardware store might be used to secure the mirror in one orientation, but how boring is that? For only $3 you totally get what you pay for.

3.0 out of 5 stars Gets the job done, with some help, January 31, 2012
By
This review is from: Sunlite Bicycle 3" Round Mirror with Yellow Reflector (Misc.)
I mounted this on the bar of my recumbent. After gluing a convex mirror to the surface of the supplied flat plain mirror for wide angle viewing. I was surprised this did not come with a wide angle mirror which I thought was totally standard for bicycles. Had to use a rubber shim to increase the bar diameter for the c-clamp mount to work right. And yes, a lock washer/nut is needed.

The basic design of the mirror is exactly what I needed, so the mods were worth the trouble. There is minimal vibration on rough surfaces, a major plus.

3 stars 'cause of the flat plain mirror.

4.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive mirrors for a skinny person, December 16, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Sunlite Bicycle 3" Round Mirror with Yellow Reflector (Misc.)
This works excellent if you are skinny because if you can see past your own bod, you can see the whole road. These may not work so well if you have a wider body mass as you may not "see" past you. Could be improved with longer metal arm to hold the mirror.
