One of the most important things in bike safety is not just seeing others -- especially vehicles -- but being seen. Reflectors are a good way to increase the chances that motorists will notice and be aware of you and your bike.

These long wheel reflectors are available in white as well as the colors listed here. I chose the colors because colors are more likely to be noticed both in the daytime and at night.

The reflectors are sturdy and pretty much a universal fit. You can adjust how far they are from the wheel hub to get them to scribe a nice circle when the wheel is turning.

The only down side to these reflectors -- and why I didn't give five stars -- is the screws that come with them tend to strip out the nylon spoke mounting clips. I replaced them with similar sized wood screws which "bit" better in the clips and made for much more secure mounting.

There are two reflectors in the set -- one amber and one red. Since they're inexpensive I bought two sets and mounted a set on each wheel.

Nice to be able to find an obscure product for a device you just have not given up hope on. It fit perfectly in its holder. I more $ than i wanted to spend, but with a lost stylus and no else having it, it was welcomed when it arrived. I would buy from this supplier again

The product works on the bike. However, there are no installation instructions so you have to figure it out intuitively on your own. It isn't terribly complex but if a guy like me who is physically and mechanically handy has trouble at first then most people aren't going to get there at all and are likely to toss them in the trash. They need either photos of how to assemble and install...just a couple, or a couple of sentences.

Ha ha. Well, the description says "long", and they weren't kidding! These measure about 10.25"!

I assumed they would be about half of that length since the picture looks a lot like what came with our one bike (minus anything to indicate scale). For reference, they are about 3/4" tall.

I'm going to give them 2 stars since while there is nothing wrong with them, I doubt this is what most people are expecting, and the description does not give dimensions, and the picture doesn't give any indication of scale.

That said, they look like they would work fine if you are OK with the size.

Not really worth the $2.50 to return them, but I won't be installing them.

this is a great thing to have. really cheap and it works. i feel a lot safer with them on my bike. Do not be fooled by the picture though. In this package you get only the two long reflectors. I wish it was more clear in the description, but a "set" actually means a pear.

I first had experience with this product is 1980. They were original equipment on my Ross Professional Gran Tour II, touring bike.

I really liked them. I actually don't know if they were/are any more effective than the shorter reflectors, but because of the length, I felt that they were more effective. I like the fact that they are longer and if you use 2 sets, you get almost complete coverage around the wheels.

I liked them well enough that when I got my Xtracycle, I replaced the stock reflectors on it, with them.

Great inexpensive way to add more visibility to your bike. Use care with the plastic fastener, they will not take much torque. Position the reflectors so that the fasteners prevent them from being pushed towards the rim. Centrifugal force pushes them towards the rim as the wheel rotates.
