This review is from: Sunlite 1 piece chainring 28T Steel Chrome (Misc.)
The trend is to have small gears on your bike. Small gears mean less weight. A shorter chain and smaller gears means less friction over the gear teeth. You also get more ground clearance under the bottom bracket. It's chromed steel and will last a while.
And looks cool too.
This chainwheel and a 15 tooth rear gear gets you 1:1.86 ratio. 32/15. Not 2:1 for sure but still respectable...
This what I use on my single speed bikes.
