These arrived ahead of schedule and were very easy to put on my sunglasses. It really kept the sun from shinning in from the side as I was driving and walking around. I would recommend these to anyone who wants to protect there eyes from the sun or wind. Sunmate Smoke Clip On Side Shields - Small

When I buy a new pair of glasses, the optician looks at my prescription, shakes his or her head, and shows me a small selection of frames. So many frames are out of bounds including wraparound frames.

I work around the house and have become aware that I needed better eyeglasses. When I am sharpening a lawn mower blade, or sanding off paint, goggles steam up and masks are too bulky. I've always used "safety" glass eyeglasses, but every time something pings off or ricochets and hits me on the cheek or corner of my eye, I am reminded that they are just not protective enough.

So this time I decided to try something different. I purchased a pair of real ANSI approved safety glasses. These came with a pair of removable clear side shields and are a bit more meaty than standard metal frames. It's amazing how much better safety glasses look than they used to. Take off the shields and nobody knows. I always get the transition or photochromatic type lenses, but they only filter the bright light from the front.

These safety frames give me options that I didn't have before. I bought a pair of these smokey shields and when I tried these, it was the first time I could stand outside in the bright sunlight without squinting.

I really like them and recommend them. When matched with ANSI frames and lenses they complete ANSI approval, but they also work with standard frames provided that the temples are thin if you get the small/medium size.
