5.0 out of 5 stars Coco Lee (the best english/mandarian singer of all time!)
I love this CD. I thought Reflection was the best song on this CD. Everything else was pretty good.

1.0 out of 5 stars she's not all that...
i truly believe that she's doesn't have what it takes to be any kind of arttist. she's got no personal style or creativity. just browse thru what she call "lyrics" written by her. it is very obvious that she's just one of the product produced by our society, a follower, not a leader.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, August 30, 1999

Not her best album, but pretty darn good. She has the most incredible voice of any female singer I've heard. She is definitely in the same class as Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Celine Dion.

This CD, in my opinion is one of the best by CoCo. "Sunny Day" came out I think last summer, thats when I got it. This CD has many tracks and many of the songs are in different styles. My favorites are "Superman" and "Secretly Loving You" this CD is a must get for anyone interested!

5.0 out of 5 stars Make Your Day a 'Sunny Day' and Give This a Listen!, June 3, 2005
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Sunny Day (Audio CD)
I love CoCo Lee's voice, having heard her sing the theme song in the movie 'Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.' But her English album, although cute and likeable, wasn't exactly a very strong - or well-selling - performance.
But Sunny Day definitely shows off the versatility of her smooth voice. The title track, like many others on this album, is a ballad-ish song, where Coco's vocal gymnastics float lightly above an acoustic background. 'Feelin' Good,' 'Diamond,' 'Don't Wanna Play,' and 'Wu Wu la la La' are more playful, poppy tunes, and 'Colors of the World' is a fairly upbeat pop song with international influence.
Now, one song I just have to point out - you may recognize 'Reflection' as a Mandarin version of the Christina Aguilera song of the same name, which was featured in Disney's Mulan. Personally, I like CoCo's version better. It doesn't sound as soulful and passionate as Aguilera's performance, but rather, more resigned and regretful.
All in all, Sunny Day is definitely worth a listen!

Coco Lee is versatile and very positive. I tried to listen while studying math but I couldn't concentrate on the math! By the way, listening to fun music is a great way to improve your Chinese language skills. Coco Lee sings in Mandarin (and English). This is a nice rare find since most Pop tends to be Cantonese.
