The Sunpak CAL-1030KIT wide-angle conversion lens doubles the coverage of your lens at the wide-angle setting, letting you shoot group pictures in tight spaces or expansive scenes. The conversion lens fits camera lenses with 25 to 37mm diameters, and comes with four step-up mounting rings: 25 to 37mm, 27 to 37mm, 30 to 37mm, and 30.5 to 37mm. Designed for everything from video camcorders to digital and still cameras, the CAL-1030KIT also includes a soft carrying pouch for transport.

The lens is well priced, of reasonably fair quality, and good for adding medium width to your wide angle video shot (as in when trying to photograph the Grand Canyon) or for shooting in tight spot areas where a little more video width to the left or right might get the entire shot or group of people in without having to pan back and forth. Sometime less motion makes for a more watchable video. I concur with the previous 2007 review, I would not use the lens with a zoom shot. Other than that I would not hesitate to purchase. If you don't like the results after you receive it either return it or sell it on Amazon as like new. I do not see that you can go too far wrong. Obviously this lens is not for the professional.

The quality is good enough for DV-video
but only in wide angle mode. Do not try
to zoom too much with it or you will see
the quality deteriorate very fast.

The lens is very soft which is why I
don't recommend it beyond DV usage.

It's very cheap, and comes with adaptor
rings which could turn up to be useful too.
Native: 37mm, adaptors downto 25mm. There is
no thread on the lens, so no filters.

Like the Sunpak 2x tele-conversion lens, this low cost lens performs as expected for the price. It arrived in a blister pack with ring adapters that are useful if you need them. No lens covers or bag so it's difficult to keep clean. Works fine for my video needs.
