I'm a fairly recent entrant to the world of photography, and as a poor student I didn't have the money to buy really nice equipment yet, so these were the first two filters I bought. I was expecting them to basically be junk, but I was somewhat surprised that they worked as well as they did. That said, they are definitely not anywhere near the level of a B+W or Hoya filter, but if you are looking for something cheap to slightly enhance your picture quality, these filters aren't a bad choice. The UV Haze filter was pretty good actually--it didn't cut out all of the haze, but it cut out a good deal. I've enjoyed that one. The polarizer did basically everything that a polarizer is supposed to do (enhance colors, cut through water, etc), but the quality is not on par with nicer filters. The sky is never as deep and rich a blue as you would get with a nicer polarizer, and the colors tend to have a lighter pastel tinge rather than the deep, rich colors you would expect from a high-quality filter. It does cut through the glare of water, but not particularly well. Overall, however, they are good enough filters that I am still using them until I can upgrade to Hoya filters. If you plan on buying these until you can afford something better, it's not a bad way to start.

Maybe it's just defective, but the polarizing lens give me noticeable image degradation. The images are blurred and easily seen even at 1:4 scale and with a tripod being used. Cleaned it just in case but still the same issue. The UV filter however is perfect and I'm very happy with it.

This is not some cheap, weak-kneed polarizer: you could see to the bottom of the ocean with this. The UV filter was also clean and clear. Definitely a good value.

n.b. I ordered this from Electronics Expo, and it took nearly two weeks to arrive with bottom-rate shipping.
