4.0 out of 5 stars Basic Photo Frame with good picture quality
Bought this as Christmas present for my own family. For the price I paid (after rebate), I will be happy if it can survive the one warranty period.

Pros:
- Large 15" size makes pictures viewing a pleasure.
- High resolution 1024x768, make pictures look sharp.
- Built-in speakers, although sound is tinny. Good for background music with...

1.0 out of 5 stars Lastest 2 months...
When I first received this picture frame, it looked like it might have been used before. It had a big quality control sticker on it and was scuffed in a couple of areas. I was so excited to use it that I quickly forgot about that. It was easy to use and really enjoyed it for 2 months! Shortly after that, it stuck on one picture, then only showed a half of picture and...

This review is from: Sunpak 15 In Digital Photo Frame Blk Wood (Personal Computers)

Good for background music with slideshow.
- Can take High Capacity (16 GB) SD cards.
- Easy to Setup.
- Can play mp3 and Vidoes.
- Comes with handy remote.

Cons:
- No Random pictures play. Displayed in the order copied on media.
- Pictures flicker while transitioning.
- Sunpak support looks very limited.

Product Quality is questionable. Mine already has bright one dead pixel.

Nice clear picture. Remote control allows for easy setup. Con: it has NO internal memory and it does not automatically adjust landscape/portrait pictures like some other digital frames.

Great bang for the buck (<$100). Yes, the transition effects are limited. Also note that the user's manual indicates that this photo frame supports pictures up to 12 Mpixels.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Digital Frame, March 27, 2010
This review is from: Sunpak 15 In Digital Photo Frame Blk Wood (Personal Computers)
I purchased this frame to replace a Sunpak 10.2" frame we've had for years. We chose this one because of the size, price and black wood frame. My wife didn't want anything too modern (high tech) looking and this fit the bill. When the box arrived I thought it was going to be way too big but the box is huge for the extra packing. The frame is 16"W X 13.1"L and 2" thick, not including the stand. I remember the days when we thought a 15" monitor was huge but a 15" frame for $100 is an awesome thing. I put in my 2 GB flash drive and the frame automatically started the slide show and the pictures look great on it. The features are nice and automatic on/off are a bonus. As cheap as flash drives and SD cards are now, I wouldn't want to pay the extra money for internal memory. This frame is huge, looks great and my wife loves it. We are buying two more for her parents and mine.

5.0 out of 5 stars SunPack 15 Inc. Photo Frame review, March 3, 2010
This review is from: Sunpak 15 In Digital Photo Frame Blk Wood (Personal Computers)
It's really nice. The quality of the image is awesome. By image I mean pictures and videos. The speakers on its back is just fine for a photo frame. Very good product, especialy for its price.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too bad for under 100, BUT...., May 25, 2010

07-01-2010: Actually sold the first one to a friend (who likes it) and I bought another one when Tiger had them for 80 bucks after rebate! This one has a different volume level, even the lowest setting is too loud in a lot of cases. But, this is cool; I powered it up using a common UPS 12v sealed lead acid battery and it ran for over 3 hours playing pictures and music (it was still working when the battery level measured 7V!) I'm going to use it at a flea market so I need it portable. It even plays .AVI movies!!
07-06-2010: Just noticed that this second one that I purchased does NOT rotate the image when positioned in portrait mode?? Very strange.. It appears that all of these frames may be slightly different.

Great big display (for a picture frame) and the picture quality is quite good. Pop in an SD card and your pictures will automatically start to show. When you rotate the frame from landscape to portrait, the pictures will rotate accordingly (cool!).
But, here's my complaints:
-Explanation of menu operation is severely lacking. And no real guidance on using the buttons along the edge to access and control the menu items. Bringing up the menu is quite sluggish.
-Calendar function is nice but 24 hour clock with seconds ticking off is distracting and cannot be changed.
-Volume is sufficiently loud but the lower levels are either too soft or too loud.
-When displaying some pictures, the display will produce a cool, slow zooming motion, but it seems to be completely random and I cannot find anything that explains it.
-It would be nice if you could display the file names of the pictures.
-Glossy display, I would prefer a matt finish to reduce glare

I was so excited to use it that I quickly forgot about that. It was easy to use and really enjoyed it for 2 months! Shortly after that, it stuck on one picture, then only showed a half of picture and now it just flickers. I did not save the box and just don't have the fight in me to go through trying to return it. So, in the trash it goes and I bought a Sony. I am hoping for better luck.

Easy to use. Easy to see from several feet away. Even at 30 feet I can see enough detail to stir a memory. My wife asked for it because she thought her eyesight might get less acute some day. It may, but the frame may be worn out by then! She loves it.
