I accidentally ordered this item, due to the fact that it has the same part number on its label as the ballast with lamp holders attached. Amazon differentiates that by adding a "-1" to the item number, but the manufacturer labels them both as SL15T. Be sure to order the correct one for your needs!

Product was fine. New wiring diagram was needed and provided as the old ballast had a 9 wire connection and the new one had only 8. Delivery came quickly. I think next ballast replacement i will just get a new light fixture with less ballast wiring required.

I needed to replace a 10 yr old magnetic ballast in the laundry room that was clearly on its way out. My search for a replacement ballast took a ton of time as I'm a DIYer/this was my first ballast install, plus, thanks to our government, they no longer sell a 'direct' replacement for the original ballast. I finally came across this electronic unit on Amazon, confirmed on the Sunpark website that it would really drive 2 40W/T12 lamps and measured my fixture mount to make sure the Sunpark would fit w/o drilling a new hole(s). When it arrived, I discovered all wires were long enough for my 4 foot fixture plus the wires were already stripped. I had wire nuts in my tool box, but I decided to go with connectors (10 pack available at Home D for under $2) to hook up the hot/neutral wires. Other than that, it was virtually plug-and-play. This bad boy works like a real champ. I get immediate start-ups, zero flicker and a very bright/warm light.

Purchased as replacements for failed units at my hotel property. A great price and great service. They worked perfectly straight from the box!

This was easy enough to install and has been working for a few months. I will update if it fails on me.

My builder installed 3 of these (the original version) in my house 7 years ago. One of them last 4 years (which I didn't bother to fix until now) and another just die last month. I bought one from Home Depot made by GE, but I notice there is a 1/2 sec lag when turn on. The original 3 Sunpark never gave me this problem. So I thought I got to get these Sunpark ballasts. After I install them, I found two serious problems: 1) while it is technically still "instant on", the first second has only 50% brightness. That is even more annoying than not being "instant on", and more seriously 2) it hums. Due to these two sins, I return both of them.

The SL15T was a direct replacement for the ballast that was installed on my laundry room light fixture. While the wiring has apparently changed slightly, the diagram included on the new ballast made replacing the old ballast a 10 minute job.

Poor quality, don't waste your money. I subsequently went to Lowes and bought a ballast there and have had no issues.
