I can't believe this is really a Sunpentown brand. I have one of their induction cooktops so I looked for their brand of pot to be sure it would work. It was the flimsiest pan I have ever seen. However, I didn't worry becasue I remembered a rating that said that they were worried when they got it but that it worked like a dream. However, this thing sucked! It was impossible to cook without everything, including the pan, burning... It was either not cooking on Med or burning on Med High. Big waste of $$$ and time. Not enough money to warrant trying to return but don't waste your time or money.

I received this item yesterday and am really disappointed. First of all, it is so flimsy that I can easily bend it in half with my hands. Second, it would not work on my induction cooktop.
I would not recommend this to anyone.

I'm new to Induction cooking, and was skeptical when I received this because a magnet did not stick to the bottom, which I'd heard was essential. I tried it, it did connect, it is truly Induction Ready, and it works like a charm! I got it mainly for pasta. The water heats in no time, the pasta is cooked to a perfect al dente in just a few minutes. It's light weight, easy to clean -- I love this little pot. It makes Induction cooking make sense.

This pan is very lightweight and works well on an induction burner for things like boiling pasta or perhaps veggies or simmering light liquids. Its bowled sides and raised logo in the bottom wouldn't work well for things that need to be scooped away from the sides or bottom of the pan with a spatula, as you might with sauces, thick concoctions or when sautéing veggies to start a soup. I cringe to think about trying to get burned stuff off the bottom with that raised logo's nooks and crannies, but for boiling things, it works great. The vented clear cover is a nice feature.

My new Viking induction unit, a portable, does not recognize this pot, ie does not couple with it through induction (tho the Viking does recognize an iron frying pan, and does work with it), despite Amazon's recommendation. A magnet does not adhere to its surface, the acid test for an 'induction ready' pot. Moreover, it is so flimsy and light that I was surprised it was not transparent.
In short: DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. It is, essentially, worthless.

This pan looks nice, but is very poor quality. Upon the first use on the cooktop, the bottom buckled and is no longer flat.

This pot is very thin and burns everything. The burn marks do not clean off either. It literally started my onions on fire in the pot. It is dangerous and not even worth the $30 I spent on it. I have circulon pans, but they are expensive, so thought I could save a penny--do not do it

I could not get the pan hot enough to cook the food without the pan itself burning.
The metal in the pan, turned black and I could smell it burning. It was very strange. It worked nothing like my other induction cookware, that I use on my induction burner. Basically it was a complete waste of my money, and completely useless.

1. It is much too flimsy.
2. The lid doesn't fit well. 3. If it is not filled at least by 1 inch of material, it will warp.

This is a very thin stainless steel pot. Induction cooktop tend to concentrate the heat in the center, and the heat is very rapid and very localized. No matter what you try to cook, the center will always burn and the rest of the pot will remain uncooked. I think this pot is worth $1, and suitable for boiling water only. If you want it, I will give it to you free, please offer the shipping.
