Pure "Made in China" junk. Don't even waste your time with this one or the voltmeter. Gauge numbers are off-center with the base (where it says sunpro) which looks horrible. Gauge is very inaccurate as tested against mechanical. Gauge indicator moves up with increased rpm, even though properly grounded. Additional fitting required had bad threads, so I had to buy a new one. Sending unit electrical connector popped off. SUNPRO IS PURE JUNK!

Ordered this gauge to replace a Sunpro CP8211 I ordered from Amazon which arrived with a DOA sending unit. Carefully read the description, even though common sense would dictate that the gauge include the sending unit with it (as the cp8211 and every other gauge does), this gauge DOES NOT! Also, lest you understandably assume this gauge has a chrome ring like the picture implies, understand that it looks more like zinc played steel, dull and cheap. Gauge seems to work ok with another sender I took off my other car, its movement is choppy and it wavers around the general temperature of the engine. I like this gauge because the shown temp range is relevant to normal driving (I don't need my gauge to read up to 300 degrees, that's too many) but I wish the damn thing had some quality control.

Update: Gauge is unacceptably inaccurate and I have returned it. I guess like a lot of things today, Sunpro is just a name with consumer recognition that can be slapped on a cheap Chinese piece of junk. Don't waste your time on this garbage product.

It is CHEAP CHINESE JUNK!!!!! It worked for about 3 seconds. Ran all new wires still didnt work. Dont know if they sent a defective sensor or gage but it doesnt work. I got other cheap Sunpro gages that are still working. I thought they would last long enough for a 24 year old car but I was wrong. There is no warranty other than giving you another one in first 90 days. Buy American, Japanese or German gages.
