5.0 out of 5 stars Sunrise Song Sings, April 9, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Sunrise Song: Treasures of the Heart #4 (HeartQuest) (Paperback)
As the finale of the Thornton siblings stories, Catherine Palmer shines as she details the life Fiona Thornton has lived until now, and the changes that God works in her life through the arrival of Rogan McCullough.

The back of the book reads:
Dr. Fiona Thornton is completely content with her isolated life studying elephants in the wilds of Kenya's Rift Valley...until Rogan McCullough lands his plane at her campsite and disrupts her entire world. Now Fiona has a high-powered businessman on her hands and no use for him, his money, or his plan to exploit her beloved elephants. But when poachers threaten Fiona's herd, she and Rogan find themselves working together against all odds. As their hearts join together, they each face a terrible choice...

This book touches your heart and will increase your love for elephants beyond anything you can believe. I highly recommend this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Romance, October 27, 2003

This review is from: Sunrise Song: Treasures of the Heart #4 (HeartQuest) (Paperback)
This book is a romance, having all the things that make a good one. Though it is a little unrealistic like all romances are (if they were true to life, who would read them?) it was a delightful read. The background behind this series of books is this... A missionary family in Kenya, Africa have four kids, the mother dies leaving a withdrawn father and a little african woman, "Mama Hannah" to bring them up. Each book is about a particular child... "A Kiss of Adventure" is about Tillie, "Whisper of Danger" is about Jessica, and "Touch of Betrayal" about Grant. Each of these books in the "Treasures of the Heart" series are fantastic romance adventure novels... For a while you heard about the 4th sibling, Fiona, but there never came out a book about her... until now. "Sunrise Song" is a great romance, but not much adventure... I guess I was coming to this book with a hope it would be like the others... so I was a tad disappointed it wasn't but over all it is a great romance. Please be sure to check out the books about the other siblings... they are amoung my favorites.

5.0 out of 5 stars She's a master, August 3, 2003

Writing straight romance is a difficult thing. Not many people do it well. Fewer do it like this--masterfully. Take a trip to Kenya and into the hearts of two very different, yet very alike people, both wanting and needing the same things, but not able to identify what they want...until they meet each other. Mrs. Palmer always sprinkles a little suspense along the way to keep the pages turning as well. I appreciate all her hard work. Both this and the first book in the series are my favorites.
