5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing compares.
I would like to applaud Melanie Rawn on the six books of the entire "Dragon" series. After reading many books for many years, I have yet to find an author who breathes life into the characters more convincingly. 3.0 out of 5 stars The conclusion to Dragon Prince.
The third and final book in the Dragon Prince series finally ties up the loose ends but leaves one open for the Dragon Star Trilogy. Suprising and tragic losses make this a must read for Melanie Rawn fans.

I would like to applaud Melanie Rawn on the six books of the entire "Dragon" series. After reading many books for many years, I have yet to find an author who breathes life into the characters more convincingly. I without a doubt believe that Rohan and Sioned's romance is one for all times. The imagination and courage to step away from the norm of magic is unmatched. All the elements of the old "good versus evil" tale seemed refreshed and new again. This is an epic no collection should be without.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great series all the way through!, May 17, 2000
The most enchanting thing about this series (and all of Melanie Rawn's books) is the dialogue. Rawn's writing is so clever and realistic, it pulls you right into the book. I love the characters also, they are so developed and complex. I'm not sure why Rawn bothered to make these books into two series, the Dragon Prince and Dragon Star, it is just continuing with the same characters and the same plots.

I've also read her Dragon series twice and it still amazes me. What a fine characters. Indeed, Sioned and Rohan are fascinating. You have to buy the series, otherwise you miss hours of enjoyment.

5.0 out of 5 stars POWERFUL!, December 5, 1998

This book is an excellent conclusion to Rawn's Dragon Prince trilogy. It has stunningly vivid characters, and only a fine line drawn between good and evil. Excellent!

4.0 out of 5 stars ~~Amazing~~, October 3, 1999

I've read the whole series twice now, and it still continues to enchant me. I know it sounds crazy, but what i wouldn't give to be able to have sunrunner powers...don't disregard me as a complete lunatic yet though...just think about it...and for all of you who havn't read any of these books, all i have to say is start from the beginning and enjoy it. I really got into these books because they are all so real, especially Rohan and Sioned...their relationship is PERFECT!! Ok, so i should stop before i give away the whole thing...ITS SO GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good conclusion for the sunrunner series, August 22, 2006

Before you read this (vol 3), read "The Dragon Prince" and the "Star Scroll" also by Rawn.

Finally the politics are settled by confrontations, including battles between the Sunrunners and their ancient sorcerous enemies, the Stone-burners. This is a worthy finish for the trilogy, and if you liked the first two, you won't be disappointed.

I'd recommend stopping here and avoiding the "Dragon Token" trilogy which follows this one. That series takes place years later and focuses on different characters I liked less.

4.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book and can't wait for the next one., September 19, 1998

Star scroll is one of the best books i have ever had the pleasure of reading! Melanie Rawn writes achingly well . The suspense was so capivating that I finished it in 2 days. Dragon Prince was good , but this exceded my expectations in more ways than one. For anyone who loves nailbiting tension and suspense this book is for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable good read!, August 22, 1998
This third book of Dragon Prince series talks more about the sorcerers and their powers using starlight, and towards the end of the book featured the battle between a sunrunner and a sorcerer. Melanie Rawn's idea of sorcerer magic is simply one of the most unique I've came across. Cheers!

This is one great book. It sparks an urge in you to become a great sunnrunner. This book is greatly written and is a great conclusion to the Dragon Prince series. It also features the maturation of the great Lord Andry.
