Laroo's second straight ahead jazz set finds the kind of creativity that's all too often lacking around here. Finding a cross cultural simpatico with vet sax ace Teddy Edwards, this duo sets a blowing date in motion that feels like there was something working between them for a long time when in reality, all they've been separated by is half a world and two generations. Classy, stylish date that straight ahead jazzbos, cocktail jazz fans and those looking for a sure footed adventure will enjoy. Mature listening at it's best.
