This is not a safe product. Beware. The mirror is attached to a strap via a 'ball in socket' plastic connector. On day three of owning this product, the mirror fell out of the socket while we were driving. The mirror unit did not properly snap back in to the socket after falling out.Separately, we had run the car thru the CHP (california highway patrol) checkpoint to make sure our baby seat was installed correctly the same week. The CHP reinforced how dangerous the Sunshine Kids Easy View mirror is - we were reminded by the officer that we were lucky it did not injure our infant son when it fell off. We would return it for a refund, but with postage, it nets out the cost of the poor quality product.

Mirror came apart!!!!,
By AHeimerle (Vicenza, Italy) - See all my reviews

This mirror was easy to install and I loved that I could rotate it to exactly the best viewing point to see my son. Unfortunately on the second day I hit a pothole and the mirror separated from the base and fell into my son. I am lucky it did not hit his head or face and cause damage!!! I am returning this product, because after several attempts of trying to make the mirror stay on the base I have come to the conclusion there is no way to do so. It was quite a disappointment!

I can actually see my baby!,

This mirror is great. I had used the Eddie Bauer mirror before this one and that one is a piece of junk. The other one kept falling apart and falling on my daughter and I would have to adjust it every time I took her in or out of the car. I have used this one now for a few months and haven't had a single prolem with it. Plus I can actually see my daughter really well and it is the most secure out of all the mirrors that I have seen because it clips together with a heavy plastic clip in the back of the headrest. You have to make sure in an accident that those things will stay put and not come crashing down on your baby.

Poorly made mirror,
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Easy View Back Seat Mirror (Baby Product)
This mirror I guess is supposed to rotate on a ball so that you can angle it any which way you choose. The ball seemed to be glued in place, and the mirror snapped right off when trying to adjust it. If it could have been moved, it would have made a great mirror.

Does the Job,
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Easy View Back Seat Mirror (Baby Product)
I've been very happy with this baby mirror. It's large enough that I can actually see my baby in the rear-view mirror and it's easy to adjust. It attached very easily to the head rest in my vehicle.

DO NOT BUY - DANGER!,

**DO NOT BUY - DANGEROUS CONSTRUCTION**I too had one that fell apart, and luckly, my 3 month old wasn't in the car-seat at the time. The problem is where the mirror assembly attaches to the ball joint. It's not the joint itself, but where the post on the back of the mirror enters into the ball of the joint. It's glued in with what looks like a Gorilla Glue type adhesive. Between two smooth surfaces. With glue mostly at the tip of the shaft. There is no way anyone should have green-lighted this method of manufacture. It's sad, because the ability to offset the mirror is a great feature, and is the only car-seat mirror I've found that works in my Mazda 5. Update-- I reglued this myself, as it's the only mirror that would work on my Mazda 5, and had no issues since. Still a bad design for a great product. I still can't give it more than one star due to the failure.

Worked great until the mirror fell off,
By Rehta (Arlington, TX, USA) - See all my reviews

The mirror worked great for several months, then suddenly one day, without warning and without having been touched the mirror fell off of the base. We could not pop it back on. It is a ball and socket connection. Now I have a hunk of junk and have to find a new, better mirror. Perhaps if you know the exact angle you need the mirror at, you can super glue it back in, meaning it would no longer be adjustable, but then it would never fall off again!

Not compatible with all headrests!,

Safety issues aside, the "easy view back seat mirror" does not live up to its claims of being easy to view:"It attaches securely to the middle of any head rest." False. It really only attaches to adjustable headrests like the one in the photo on the packaging. I had this problem in the first car I installed my son's car seat in, so I moved the car seat and mirror to another car. "Pivots on a ball and socket for the perfect angle to view an infant, without moving your rear view mirror." False. While it does pivot as mentioned, depending on what car you drive, you may not be able to see the mirror nor the reflection in your rear view mirror regardless of how you position the "easy view." This is the case with the second car I installed the car seat and mirror in; we have no other cars we can use this with. But it's still not completely useless! Even though this doesn't work for the intended purpose, my little one can stare at his own reflection which he enjoys. Now I just have to weigh that against the safety risks that other reviewers have discussed at length. . .

Mirror moves too much!,
By Polka Dot (BC, Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Easy View Back Seat Mirror (Baby Product)
It's shocking to me that the sole purpose of this item - to simply stay at a certain angle so you can view your child - it fails at. Within days of installing this mirror it kept moving and shifting. Attempts at putting it back into position worked for about 5 minutes and the mirror would simply fall down from it's angle. Very frustrating - I ended up throwing it away.

Not real crazy about this product. The mirror doesn't stay in place and I am constantly adjusting it. The reflection isn't so good either.
