I own a Volvo, Model S40 and have 5 grandchildren under the age of six, including a 1 and 2 year old. My car is small and typically I can only fit two full-sized car seats or booster seats in my back seat. In searching for a space solution I found the Sunshine Radian 80 on Amazon.com. Online reviews raved about the ability to fit THREE seats across with this product. I was also impressed by the SAFETY ratings and that this seat can be used from birth (back-facing) to 80 lbs front facing. My 3-yr old grandson commented that the seat is more comfortable than the other two seats I have. It is a bit heavy for me to carry as the frame is steel alloy, but it is sturdy. I love the way it folds flat. YEA! Excellent feature, and other seats without this capability are cumbersome and awkward to carry as some of you know. Another positive feature is that the seat is approved for airline use. (big plus, many are not). I currently have two SafeGuard booster seats (which I really like too +++++), and the Radian 80 installed (3 across). The setup works but is tight due to armrest span/position of the two SafeGuard seats. If I had to do it over again I would purchase three Sunshine Radian 80 seats, and I encourage other families to consider this option if you have three children under 80 lbs to transport. These seats aren't cheap ([...]), but shipping was free. Always a good perk.
