5.0 out of 5 stars essential for travel with the radian 65
I have been on more than 40 flights with my now toddler, most of them without my husband. I bought 2 of these straps so I can put the radian 65 on my back as a backpack. This makes it possible for me to transport child, hand luggage and carseat. I think the purchase has paid for itself anyway, as without the straps I would have paid $3 for a trolley in every airport...

2.0 out of 5 stars Webbing rolls and is uncomfortable to carry
We bought this strap to carry the Radian 80 as we travel internationally with our daughter on a regular basis. We found on our first trip that this strap is durable but it rolls uncomfortably so that instead of a nice 2" wide flat strap, it is now a 1/2" wide strap that digs into your shoulder very painfully. Even with the padded section (which is light at best) this...

I have been on more than 40 flights with my now toddler, most of them without my husband. I bought 2 of these straps so I can put the radian 65 on my back as a backpack. If you are travelling with this carseat, then do yourself a favour and invest another few dollars in 2 straps. Although getting one strap is helpful, you still have to balance a heavy carseat on one shoulder while bending down trying to control a toddler.

Oh, and I just leave them attached to the carseat when it is in the car, that way I don't lose them and I don't forget them for the next trip. They don't interfere with the latch or belt system, you just tuck them behind the carseat when you strap it in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Either as a Replacement Strap or To Carry Your Radian Seat Backpack Style, November 10, 2007
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Radian Carry Strap (Baby Product)
Basically the strap looks identical to the strap included with the Radian (80) seat. The color of the metal clips may differ (silver vs black). Get this strap either to carry your Radian (80) seat backpack style, or as a backup/replacement strap.

So great to have for travelling. Makes carrying the rather heavy car seat much easier!

4.0 out of 5 stars carry strap, January 30, 2010

We got this carry strap for a recent vacation, during which we flew three times with connections on each flight, so there was a lot of walking through the airport. I will say that I don't know how we would have done it without the strap. However, my husband found it uncomfortable, as it kept sliding off his shoulder. When I ordered the strap, I didn't realize that if I ordered two straps I could create a sort of back pack with the seat (the seat's manual shows you how to do this). I am definitely going to order a second strap to try that out. Otherwise, I think it would work best if you were willing to put the strap across your chest / over the opposite shoulder from the seat. The seat is very heavy so it will naturally pull off your shoulder if you just keep it on one side. However, having read reviews of the travel bags that are supposed to go with this product, I would stay away from that as an option. The only other idea I have for getting through an airport with this heavy seat is to buy one of those cheap fold up metal luggage carts and bungy cord the thing on or something. . .

2.0 out of 5 stars Webbing rolls and is uncomfortable to carry, March 10, 2012
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Radian Carry Strap (Baby Product)
We bought this strap to carry the Radian 80 as we travel internationally with our daughter on a regular basis. We found on our first trip that this strap is durable but it rolls uncomfortably so that instead of a nice 2" wide flat strap, it is now a 1/2" wide strap that digs into your shoulder very painfully. Even with the padded section (which is light at best) this strap really hurts!

This is a heavy seat and needs a really good, heavy strap. My solution is to sew the existing strap flat to the padding, making it less adjustable, but adding some stability to the webbing so it doesn't roll as much.

It is a very sturdy strap and after many, many trips with it, the webbing is my only complaint.

Used this for a trip across the country with a connecting flight and an 18 month old. We had to claim carseat after first flight and bring to new gate. It made our across the airport trek much easier. It is very sturdy. Does the job.

1.0 out of 5 stars Useless straps, December 21, 2008

The straps work but are useless. The car seat is too heavy for an easy transport with these straps. I would recommend using a carrying bag instead with proper shoulder straps above both shoulders.
