This review is from: Sunshine Kids Soft Ride Seat Pad for Strollers and Car Seats, Gray (Baby Product)
I ordered this because the one I originally wanted, the Kiddopotamus Snuzzler, was not available (and still isn't). I was expecting something with a decent amount of head support, based on the accompanying product photo with the baby in the stroller. Soooooo not the case.
The reason I wanted some extra cushion for the infant seat was because the Graco Snugride that we are using is not very padded. I understand the more expensive versions do have better padding, but let's face it, not everyone can afford to get the "top of the line". We bought the Snugride "Tango in the Tongo" pattern (elsewhere, as it was less expensive), and I was concerned that my little one would not be comfortable because the seat cover is quite thin. Additionally, it's not cut well for the seat belt straps that go over his shoulders. The thing gets all cockamamie and crooked and has to be straightened out every time we put him in. There is not much to the cushion/pad; I'm not even sure it adds enough difference to be worth it. The only real benefit I can think is that it is probably more comfortable than the car seat fabric, which is quite stiff and probably scratchy. My son seems to get pretty warm in the seat; I don't know if this is the nature of the infant seat, or if it's the pad. Currently, in the summer, we have the velour side against him. When winter comes we will likely turn it around for the warmer fleecy side, but I will watch him for over-heating. So if you are looking for something to give some head support, look elsewhere. This is just not it.
