5.0 out of 5 stars very good product
I was very pleased with this product, it covered the back seat and has a handy little pocket to put bottles, wipes, dipers in. I have brought another two for the other car.

3.0 out of 5 stars mother of 2
I like the stuff n scuff, but my 2 year old son kicks alot and actually ripped the fabric off of the frame. I used black duct tape to do a self repair. Also the kids can't reach the pocket when strapped in their carseats. But my seats are staying clean!!

2.0 out of 5 stars Wish I'd spent more money for a better one..., August 20, 2010
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Stuff 'n Scuff Seat Protector - Black (Baby Product)
This is OK. I picked it up at Toys R Us when I got my daughter's new carseat for our new Subaru. In fairness, it does keep her feet off the back of my seat, but it never fits nicely against the seat back. It's always turning to one side or the other leaving a gap between it and the seat, sometimes even getting in her way when she tries to climb into the car. The string that ties around the back of the seat never far enough back on the driver seat, either.
That pocket up at the top isn't very big. I never put anything in it because there aren't many things that would stay well. I can't recommend this product.

2.0 out of 5 stars Rips easily!, October 15, 2007

I purchased this for my new Envoy Denali which had shape similar enough to the seat protector for it to do its job. My daughter liked to rip her socks and shoes off to grab at the net bag with her toes. Within 2 or 3 days, she had this ripped. I will purchase another to try to flip the bag to the back. I like the black color which matches my leather seats. I rate it so low for quality of manufacturing although I am purchasing another today because there are so few options available.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not Kid-Proof, July 13, 2009
This review is from: Sunshine Kids Stuff 'n Scuff Seat Protector - Black (Baby Product)
The straps broke within the first two weeks of use and the mesh pockets are hanging on a wing and a prayer. They are not durable and not made to withstand small children. They are very thin and fragile.

I got this to keep my 2.5 y.o. son from messing up my beige leather seats (that wasn't my first choice of interior color) in my new car. It worked great for about 3 weeks, but at that point, he gave it one last kick and one side of the top attachment broke off. It isn't worth repairing and I am getting one that's made a little better. (I will review that when I get it, but I am trying the Mickey Mouse toy holder sold on Amazon.)

If your child isn't quite as energetic in the car, it might be fine. But if your toddler doesn't do a lot of kicking, you're probably not shopping for this type of item. I wish they'd make items like this to last. I'd pay more to find something that I wouldn't have to replace often.

3.0 out of 5 stars Guarenteed to break, but I still like it and will buy again., January 19, 2009

The idea is very cool. Installed super easy and fast. As other reviews have mentioned, it is thin and breaks easily. The first part to break will be the strap around the headrest. But with my super dooper handyman skills....I safety pinned it back together. The outside of the whole item has a frame around it that is tougher so I have the safety pin around that and then into the fabric of the tie. I did put about 3 or 4 pins on each side. My son hasn't even noticed the pins and he can't reach them anyways. I did the other side as a preventative measure. It probably doesn't look the best, but it works and I have not had a problem since. The bottom of the item does slide esily too most times. It is always off a little to one side or the other rather than staying centered. Okay, the next part to rip is the net.....but luckily that little snap in the middle still makes it usable. My son keep his sunglasses in there and randon small toys. He loves it. And when you are trying to get them loaded up and have full hands, it is so handy just to throw whatever you have (that they insist on you carring of course)in the net, then buckle them up, then take it out of the net and toss it on their lap before closing the door. Even though it is cheap and is 100% guarenteed to break, I would buy it again. There aren't many options for this and this is descent. I have it in a midsize SUV (Mitsubishi Endeavor) and it fit great. The next one I get, I will safety pin first as reinforcement so hopefully it never has a chance to really break. That baby is only 4 months so I have some time still.

I guess I can't say anything real bad about this item. I mainly have it so my son's muddy shoes won't ruin the back of my seat. It's great for that. The stringing that holds it to the seat could be a little different, but I'm not sure how....just seems not finished well for that part. Then again, no one sees it, so who cares! Other than that, the pockets are good and the material is sturdy and very easy to clean. I'm glad I got it.
