More About the Author

Philip Dale Smith's license plate says, "KDS FRN," which is as close to "KID'S FRIEND" as the limited spaces allow. A parenting coach, Dale has spent a lifetime helping adults equip children to reach their full potential. He has been a founding director of youth camps in three states and Canada and has conducted "Every Kid a Winner" parenting programs nationally--speaking at schools, churches, civic clubs, other community groups, and on radio and TV. Smith is an award-winning children's picture-book writer (six books), and with his daughter, Lisa Kay Hauser, co-authored three novels, including Turn Back Time, winner of the 2001 "Benjamin Franklin Award for Popular Fiction." In Toronto, Canada, he won "The World Championship of Public Speaking," conducted annually by Toastmasters International. He and Mary Jo, his wife, live in Bowling Green, KY, with PowderPuff (their purebred bewolbasky dog, which Dale says looks like a "stretch-limousine red fox." Her grandparents were a beagle, a basset, a wolf, and a husky).

If you are wondering if this book is one you'd enjoy, let me tell you that I ABSOLUTELY did! I enjoy books for entertainment. I get tired of nothing good to watch on tv. I want something I can get caught up in and escape for a while. Escape to a slower pace of life. The Stoneworth/Delaney family is one that I feel welcomed to join in with. They are good people living to please God. They show me how they face difficulties. They show me the fun they have together, they aren't afraid of hard work, they help others......and, oh, they have problems, but their faith is in God. Both books of the Stoneworth Chronicles are full of adventure, love and even some edge of your seat action. Beautiful story that I hope to continue to read about in book #3!!!! I could hardly wait to see how Sunshine and Shadow ended, but I'm sad to be finished. They've become my dear friends.
To the authors, thank you for sharing with us bits of your family history written into a novel for us to enjoy. May you continue to enjoy God's blessings.

I would have never thought another book could keep my attention like "Turn Back Time" did. This book has all the good things that the first had to offer. You can see the heartwarming family and friends, and within the first few chapters, you feel like you know them, like they are friends you've known forever. All the characters are someone that you can see in your own day to day lives. The loving, selfless mother, the hateful old grandmother, the sweet gossiper, and the loyal friends. This is a book that kept me turning pages, I couldn't read it fast enough. About the only time I stopped was to wipe the tears from my eyes as I read about the brave, loving, and unselfish Smith Delaney. Through the ups and downs, the little community sticks together like people should. I loved it so much, I didn't want it to end.

I thoroughly enjoyed the 2nd installment of the Stoneworth Chronicles by Lisa Kay Hauser & Phillip Dale Smith, as it continued the exciting, heart-warming & suspensful story of Hattie Stoneworth Crow Delaney, & her new husband Smith Delaney.
The only problem was, when I was finished, I learned there is apparently NOT a 3rd installment, even though at the back of the book, it gives a sample of Stoneworth Chronicles III called "Forever and Always"...I have searched the internet to no avail for the 3rd installment, & have come to the conclusion they never wrote it! So disappointed not to have closure for the story...bt I really wanted it! GREAT book, just needed to continue it as promised in the sample in the back!

After reading "Turn Back Time" I couldn't wait to start this one which picks up where that one left off. I would welcome another follow up story.

This is a follow up to Turn Back Time, and it is just as good as the first book. I do not often read books in series as I find I get bored or one is so much better than the other......not true in this case. Both books are so good. Just enough romance to make it nice, but also enough mystery to keep you wondering how it will all end. I loved both books and cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed the characters, the plot, the setting. If you are looking for a good book, look no further!

This is the second book in the Stoneworth chronicles and just as good if not better than the first. The characters are wonderful. The closeness of the Stoneworth family is remarkable. They go through some mighty big challenges.I enjoyed this book immensely.
