Plays english very well, shows you if your stroke is off and you are accidentally putting side spin on the ball. it has been sent of my table onto concrete floor a few times and it didn't even show any marks

Didn't realize just how often I was mis-striking the cue ball until I starting using this device. In three words: humbling and helpful.

The Aramith Pro Cup 6 Red Dot Cue Ball is an aweseome training device for billiards. It allows me to improve my follow shot, stop shot, and draw shots by seeing the spin of the ball more easily. I recommend this to all beginner to moderate billards enthusiasts who want to improve their game either 8 ball or 9 ball... it does it all.

This thing is awesome. Helps to know what type of "hit" you put on the cueball. Seems really durable and well-made. Like others have said - it's kind of off-white and yellowish in color. When mine arrived, the plastic packaging had cracked but the ball itself is perfectly fine. Makes me wonder if these ball have been sitting in the sun or maybe in the trunk of a car? Making the ball yellow and the plastic package brittle? Not sure but the item itself is a winner! I don't really care about the color so much. Although the package talks about how hard and durable this thing is, I am gonna avoid breaking racks with it to prolong its life. I play at pool halls so I will just use the cue ball provided for breaking.

I wont say that it is going to turn you into Minnesota Fats, but the dots definitely help with developing your ball control. In my humble opinion I think it provides better feedback on what you are doing wrong as opposed to what you are doing right. There are times when I took certain shots that I was shocked to see what spin was actually being applied to the cue ball. Numerous times straight shots (or what I thought was straight) turned out to put fairly strong spin on the cue ball. I think that anyone who gets this ball will definitely be able to use it to improve their game if they take it seriously and study what they are doing.

Its a cue ball. However, I can now use it to judge the effectiveness of my shot. Much better to see than solid white. Having the dots spaced around the ball allows you to see the spin regardless of how the ball is positioned at the start.

didn't like when I first used it, almost puts to much spin on, but LOVE it now! I have Brunswick Centenial balls, and never really liked the way they shot, nobody in my family did, they just seemed different and harder than other balls. With this Q ball, totally different - LOVE the way they shoot now! We usually use these on our pool leagues also - much better action than junk bar Q balls, especially for lower skilled players. It rolls absolutely true, no wandering!

This design was made they started showing pool on TV. Not only is it a very very high quality ball but the dots made it so that the audience could see what types of spins the pros were using.

That being said, its a great tool for correcting unintentional spin as well as learning how your opponents play. Still practice with both because it may throw you off in competitions when it is a non-aramith or a non-dotted ball.
