In Super Blogga, Missy Diaz offers a list of more than 60 blogging tips for new blog owners. Several blogging tips in her list were repeated, but this doesn't take away from the value to new blog owners who would like a list of things to do (or at least consider) all in one place.
I've been blogging for nearly three years and, like many bloggers, learned how to best manage and promote a blog over time. There are a few blogging tips on the list that I wouldn't do (like "join a blog carnival") and there are others that I've found invaluable (like "address and thank a blog commenter publicly").
The best of the blogging tips on the list is No. 11 - Get Exercise. Writing two blogs and hosting a podcast is a lot of work, especially since I also have a family (my children have four legs and are very demanding) and a full time job. Exercise allows me a much needed break and helps me to relieve stress. For the parents out there who have their time being pulled in various directions by their family and jobs, I'm certain that you can relate to the need to relieve stress.
All in all, I believe that Super Blogga is a fantastic eBook for someone starting out as a blogger or considering blogging as a hobby or a business. Although the information provided isn't new, it will save you lots of time, because Missy has taken the time to compile a comprehensive list of things to do, to consider, and to ask. I would like to send this eBook to every person who tells me that they're going to start blogging too, thinking that it's an easy hobby that will provide them with an extra income only to quit after a month.
I think that this is a good resource for new bloggers, but if you've been blogging for a time and have stalled or lost your direction, Super Blogga may give you a few new ideas for your blog. Have you considered promoting your blog locally? Do you specialize? Who do you write for? Super Blogga will start you on the path to answering these questions.
