Make the Most of Every Moment

Not every movement is created equal. Super Body, Super Brain’s targeted exercise circuits make every second of your workout count, harnessing the power of multitasking to sharpen your mind and tone your body in just minutes a day.

Crossword puzzles, Sodoku, computer games, and DVDs—there's no end to the products touting their brain-boosting benefits. But in this multimillion-dollar business, one crucial tool has been overlooked: the enormous power of physical movement.

Until now. As one of New York City's most popular trainers, Michael Gonzalez-Wallace needed to keep his busy clients happy with engaging, efficient workouts. He quickly noticed that when exercises used several muscles at once, combining coordination and precision with aerobic and strength-training actions, clients were significantly more focused—and achieved better, faster results.

Many hours of research and consultations with neuroscientists later, Gonzalez-Wallace had confirmed his instincts: exercises that demand balance and concentration not only tone the body, but actually increase brain activity. In fact, contrary to commonly held beliefs, the brain is constantly rewiring itself and capable of change at any age. This targeted program—the first of its kind—uses a series of carefully designed exercises to do just that.

As you move through Super Body, Super Brain's innovative circuits—for little as 10 minutes a day—you will being to:

  • Improve your alertness and lessen fatigue
  • Become more mentally sharp with improved memory capability
  • Improve your mood
  • Lose weight and reduce your body fat
  • Strengthen your core muscles and tone your upper and lower body
  • Strengthen your heart and lungs and improve your endurance
  • Improve your balance and coordination
  • Transform your posture and become more flexible

As a powerful complement to these circuits, Gonzalez-Wallace has teamed up with a top nutritionist to create brain-boosting recipes that help maximize his program's powerful results.

If you have a few minutes to spare, you have the power to look better, feel better, and tackle every day with more energy and efficiency than ever before!

Effective and efficient content! This book delivers!

ABOUT THE CONTENT
In the Introduction, Michael Gonzalez-Wallace recalls a time when his fascination with human performance aligned with the development of his fitness program, `Super Body Super Brain'. He describes observing the efficacy of specific opposite body part exercise sequences, that when elements of balance, coordination, strength-training and intent were introduced, his fitness clients learned and recalled information MUCH more quickly than their "normal workout routine(s)."

I believe the author has created a proven program that is uniquely shared through its namesake book.
It illustrates the what, why and how of exercising your body AND the simultaneous benefits to your brain! Anyone who has always wished they could speak with the author of a book can do so inside its pages; as his purpose for writing it and translation of its benefits are simply and effectively outlined. Through this book Mr. Gonzalez-Wallace's program has noticeably benefited my body (balance, gait speed, physical strength) and mind (organizing my thoughts quicker) from many diet and exercise recommendations.

After a serendipitous discovery, I became aware of Mr.Gonzalez-Wallace's work. I had transitioned from working in corporate atmosphere to self-employment and noticed a difference in my cognition, emotion and memory. I used my research skills to look into why I didn't feel as sharp. I honed in on wanting to understand more about the brain.

I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis 2 years ago and prepared my world for possible mobility issues. Unpredictable MS has chosen to attack my cognitive function instead. As someone who defined herself by the strength of her brain, the pronouncement "You have brain damage" is devastating. So when I heard about Super Body, Super Brain this past summer, I eagerly awaited its appearance. I bought it the day it came out and quickly had it read. (Sorry, Amazon, until you can figure out an instantaneous delivery system, brick and mortars will occasionally win my business.)

So far Super Body, Super Brain has exceeded my expectations. It is written in a style that is pleasant to read while clearly conveying the science underlying the program. As a person with two left feet, I particularly appreciate the descriptive photographs accompanying the explanation of each exercise.

Thank you, Michael Gonzalez-Wallace, for giving me hope that I have weapons in addition to my meds in my battle with MS.

I can't tell you how highly I recommend this book!

As one who works with individuals who have autism spectrum disorders, I know first hand the importance of the neuro-biological circuitry that is so often overlooked. Exercise is important for our physical health, but equally if not more importantly, Michael Gonzalez-Wallace clearly shows that his targeted workouts have an incredible effect on neurological functioning and improvement of brain function as a whole in SUPER BODY, SUPER BRAIN.

Michael Gonzalez-Wallace has incorporated some of the best and latest neurological research in creating these specific exercises that not only target peak physical performance, but incredible improvements in brain functioning. This translates to improved cognition, neurological functioning, focus and attention, balance, sensory processing, memory enhancement, behavior improvement and much more!

There is no one who would not benefit greatly from this book, at any level of fitness. However, I specifically and strongly endorse Michael's program for the following:

* Educational and School Systems - Improving focus and attention, increasing test scores, and greatly reducing behavior

* Any Special Needs Applications - Improving neurological, cognitive and physical performance

* Degenerative Functioning of any Type - Whether it be nursing homes dealing with typical aging or degenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's, hospitals and rehabilitation clinics, psychiatric institutions, etc.

* The General Public at Large

I'm confident you will find, as I did, that this book is a must for any reader serious about improving their physical health and brain functioning.

This book really does it all! The "Basics" chapters on brain muscle and emotional brain and exercise, are intelligent, clear, and concise. Though I recommend reading all of the chapters, for those who want to get to the point and get to the workout, the layout and section titles make it easy to go back and reference a particular topic later on if you need to. The chapter on Smart Food Choices for a Better Brain is full of information on healthy, nutritious eating, including recipes, which makes this book a complete package.

The pictures and instructions for the basic exercises and circuits are easy to follow. I particularly like the way that the author, at the bottom of each combination, breaks down why that combination of movements is good for the body and good for the brain. The concept of "seeing with your brain" really is effective - and fun. The book's workout circuits are a nice break from the mindless repetition you get from other programs. Super Body Super Brain is positively addictive.

Most of all, since I have been doing the Super Body Super Brain workout, I stand a little bit taller, my clothes fit a little bit better, I feel stronger, more alert, more focused, and happier - all without expensive gym equipment or repetitive, boring exercises. All you need is a set of hand weights and the book. Yes, this book does it all.
