I actually bought this as A replacement set for A lost disc. NFL Films does an excellent job of capturing the drama of the Superbowl. Each dvd includes a season highlight reel that really goes in depth. The only problem I have is with the packaging. In both sets the glue that holds the place holders has dried up and caused them to fall out of the case. other than that I highly recommend the set.

What I wanted: I wanted to relive the excitement of Superbowl XXXI. I wanted to be able to return to the astonishment of Superbowl XXXV. I wanted to watch THE GAMES.

What I saw: I saw packaging that somply said "SUPERBOWL XXXI - XL COLLECTOR'S SET" with a Lombardi Trophy on the front.

What I did NOT do: I did not carefully read the item description. The item description says it contains GAME FOOTAGE. Nowhere does the description say anything about contining the games themselves.

The bottom line: These are the official NFL Productions 30 minute retrospectives about the seasons and the games, rather than the games themselves. When this arrived I excitedly popped the first DVD in hoping to recapture Favre at his height, instead I got the grainy, muted color and monotone narration of an NFL Fils production. I am so glad that this wasn't a Christmas present as I would feel far worse about donating it to the local library. This doesn't even warrant collecting dust on my video shelf. I wnated to watch the game, not hear Reggie White talk about how excited he was to play in the game, then see clips of him tackling.

If anyone from the NFL is reading this: SHAME ON YOU! Your packaging offers a tantilizing idea that we will be watching the games themselves, instead we get ... this.

For me, lesson learned.

I got this for just a few bucks and I love every moment of it. Buy it. It's worth it.

......has done it again. NFL Films has been capturing the essence of professional football for many years now and once again have done themselves proud. They always get the great angles moments and shots of the gridiron action, especially at the SuperBowl. It is amazing to watch the first three installments of this series and compare just how far the sports film industry has come in 40 years. And yet, the drama of the game and players are still the best parts of NFL Films productions. SB31-40 will be enjoyed by both the avid fan as well as the casual viewer for years to come. Add it to your DVD library!

I love the NFL and this is a great DVD collection to watch while working out.

Very good videos. It really brings to life the drama of the seasons and the only thing I would change would be some of the final outcomes haha

Continues on in the same vein as the previous sets by including, for each season, a 40 minute summary of the season "Road to the Superbowl" and then a 25 minute summary of the Superbowl. Very enjoyable for fans who like to have a snapshot of each season. The special features are not as strong as in previous sets but still interesting. Great value for 10 hours entertainment.

This collection is full of highlights. I am very pleased with the collection.

Yes! It's finally here. These 10 bowls are the one's of my generation and I'm glad because I live in Boston and live Patriots football. Picture quality is what's expected and kuddos to the NFL for the great little features that accompany each year. I now own Super Bowls I-XL. I wonder what kind of medium we'll be watching when the next collection comes out?
