I just received this item. I noted right away that the 3xAAA batteries the package says are included, aren't. Then I noted that the fit was small. I extended the top band out all the way, and it is barely adequate. I found some of my own AAA batteries and turned it on. Four functions as advertised. Unfortunately, none of these functions is off. The package does identify one button as the on/off button. I pressed the button a dozen times. I pressed and held it for ten seconds. It just keeps cycling between the four on functions. The only way I can see to turn it off is to physically remove the batteries.

i ordered 4 items from this company (big edge) and this was the only item that shipped..when i got the headlamp it was of poor quality and what i mean by that is it actually looked like a happy meal toy. i had to use a drop of oil on the battery case so it would open, superglue on a plastic spring so it would stay in place..and it did not come with batteries. the only thing good about this product was the headband.. my other 4 items never came..had to get a refund 4 1/2 weeks later. i will not recommend or do business with this company again. thanks big edge.

PRO:
-Light is bright, and adjustable

CONS:
-Does not come with batteries (needs 3x AAA)
-Straps are too small for me: Adult male with average head size (based on ball-caps that I own)
-Plastic is clearly cheap, but if you're not treating it really rough then you should be fine.

The light output is awful , even at the max setting. The headset strap is for kids not an adult. The switch stopped working after 1 week of use.

This headlamp is fantastic! It's sturdy yet comfortable & provides me with more that enough light at night. I love how you can adjust the brightness & the flash setting is a great idea. I use this light so often, it's so much easier having a light source that I don't have to carry in my hands It really frees me up to carry my camera & change lenses without worrying about moving a flashlight around in my hands to illuminate a shot. This is a must have!

I recently ran into this light on Amazon while looking at headlamps. It brought back memories from when I received one as a gift years ago. It's complete crap, and I threw it away after the fourth use. The band is crap, the battery door is crap, and the battery contacts are crap. The LEDs are OK, but they don't light up a hallway the way I would like.

Bottom line = Crap.

Don't buy unless it's for someone you don't like.

the kids loved the head lamps to be out in the night with them was great fun.. while the adults were sitting around the fire place the kids had there own thing to do
