Super Bubble Pop is a bubble-based action puzzle game where the idea is to quickly and efficiently clear the grid of bubbles to advance to the next stage, while gaining as many points as possible. A crazy collection of DJs wait inside for their chance to become the ultimate popper. You pick from one to up to five characters, each with a unique Super Special Attack. You're given a sequence of bubbles, which can be fired down the grid to make lines of bubbles of the same color that will then pop. Bubbles can be burst along the horizontal or vertical by creating any line of three or more adjacent bubbles of the same color. Special attacks and bubbles keep the gameplay fast and furious.

I expected this game to ge a cheap knock-off of Super Bust-A-Move. It's not. It's a quirky mechanic that melds the concepts of two puzzle games into one.

When the puzzles start, it's a puzzle to try and clear out the bubbles with the least amount of moves. If you fail to clear the board quickly, the bubbles advance and you must then survive the onslaught of marching bubbles in a more action-oriented game.

Match 3 or more bubbles of a color vertically (easy) or horizontally (harder), and they pop. They advance with time, so be quick. On the hardest level, some puzzles really test the "twitch" factor.

The graphics are clean but sparse. The music is very well done. The puzzles are surprisingly varied. Unfortunately, there's no create-a-puzzle mode.

A great buy for the money. Very entertaining.
