0 Stars!!! This battery is NOT for the all the laptops listed, my Acer 6920 has a 10v battery this one is a 14v! so i payed 32.25 then think the battery was bad send it back they send another 14v battery still doesn't work then it cost 10.51 to send it back again,I asked them to send a me 10v and they just send a email back and gave me a RMA slip to return it AND then they charge a 20% fee for returning items, plus shipping costs.([...]) so i only get back 25.76 and i'm out 27.51 dollars and still dont have a battery which is B.S. O and afterwords the item is still here on amazon with the wrong information after i informed them of the misleading information.

I have an Acer Aspire 5920-6864 laptop computer (BTW- I love it!) and have tried in vain to find a replacement battery. FINALLY success! I previously purchased 2 batteries that were supposed to be compatible with my computer. Not only would they not work the computer didn't even recognize they were installed so I had to return them. I was beginning to think I would never be completely cordless again but this battery works! yay! On a full charge I can get a good 3 hours. I know we want more but we always want more, don't we?

After only 5 months of fairly careful and life-extending use, this thing has started to go from 55% to shutoff in about ten seconds. I have done everything a person can do to preserve the life of this battery since purchasing, and this just started happening out of nowhere. We have avoided overcharging it, it has been fully discharged regularly, it has not been exposed to temperature extremes.

It's a great price, and the delivery was quick, but I guess you get what you pay for.

This battery works wonderfully-lasts even longer than the original. I know Gateway and Acer are one and the same these days, but its good to know the batteries are interchangeable!

EDIT: Worked wonderfully FOR ONLY 2 AND A HALF MONTHS!!! This is junk. It was quite powerful for awhile, but then turned to junk-now it holds maybe 10 minutes of charge...

Product performs as promised. It is a bit bigger than the stock battery as one might expect. Battery life is outstanding - I would say minimum 6 hours easy - maybe 8. It is a significant improvement over the original battery.

Well my daughters Acer Aspire Laptop died as hundreds of others ACER LAPTOPS HAVE DONE ONCE PURCHASED in the USA have according to all the blogs, help pages, help lines, Tech Pages, Product Reviews and Complaint Posts I found....We thought it needed a new battery, so we ordered this....then still no power, so we ordered a new AC Adapter....still no power, so we tried another brand AC Adapter, still nothing...so now after reading thousands of complaints on the net about Acers dying for no reason...I have found out that I need to charge the battery separately from the laptop and THEN put the battery in the laptop. Apparently there are default internal power settings that change on their own back and forth at random from AC to Battery until the battery is totally dead without any chance of turning on the PC to change the setting back to AC...Just ordered EXTERNAL BATTERY CHARGER - should have this week, and hopefully my poor kid will finally be able to use this POS that ACER calls a computer....lol Final Cost of HardKnocksLearning about $175.00. Oh that does not include the initial $548.00 price of the Laptop 18 Months Ago. Could have bought her another ACER POS for $248.00 @ Walmart...geesh..lol

I own an Acer 6920 and needed a new battery. I ordered this one and thought it was a killer deal. I installed it into my computer and it would not work. when I removed it I looked at the label and it said that it worked for all Acers that are listed other than the 6920. Now Im nervous to try again.

Laptop batteries degrade over time and it is a fact of life that you will need or want a new battery. The problem is that with laptop prices being so low and certain commercial software degrading over time, by the time you need a new battery you may want to pay just for the benefit of a fresh install of you know what. Since I run Linux, I find myself not needing a new computer every year. This battery is the third for my laptop which is adorned with hacker stickers. This battery fits my lifestyle of hacking at coffee shops, Metrix, and so forth without forcing me to plug in all the time. Yes, it's a standard battery and other batteries should live up to this one's glory, but this one is special to me because it works. I have been burned by laptop manufacturers making laptops where third party batteries not work correctly, but Acer is not one of those companies. Five stars should definitely be reserved for batteries like these.

This battery works well when charged, but my Acer laptop 6920 recognizes the battery only randomly. This was not the case with my last generic battery I purchased. It didn't last long (500 hours), but at least my laptop could see the battery was installed.

This battery came with instructions for trouble shooting, which is reason enough for me for an extra star. I just don't think anyone should have to eject their battery 7-10 times, or more, to make it recognizable. Any suggestions are appreciated.

I have an Acer 6930 whose original battery sizzled out for some reason and would only hold a charge lasting 5 minutes. After looking at some replacements, I bought this for an amazing $25 but wasn't expecting much. However, it appears to be working even better than when it came in new.

Should a new defect arise within a year, I'll update this review.
