I purchased this battery four months ago when my original battery (9 cell) was down to 1 hour at 100% charge. I called Dell and they wanted $165 for an oem battery. I told the sales rep I would get my battery elsewhere. He asked what I meant by "elsewhere". I told him I would buy from another online store. He told me it wouldn't be the same quality. I told him I could buy four "inferior" quality batteries to his one, and I would take my chances. He then proceeded to argue with my over my bad choice. I thanked him for his advice, and bought this battery. It was only after my discussion with Dell that I discovered that the $165 battery was the 6-cell (the 9 cell was $185). As I said, I have had this 9 cell for over four months, 5+ hours of battery life on a full charge with no problems, and I am about to buy another one just to have around (at less than $50, you can't go wrong!). As for those who received bad batteries, it happens! There's a one-year warranty for crying out loud. Get a free replacement and quit whining!

So how does a battery that costs 20% of the current Dell asking price fare? I think the title of this review says it all. This high capacity battery 7200mAh lasts longer than fresh Dell regular capacity battery but less than the Dell high capacity. It takes the form of the high capacity cover so tilts the XPS1330 a little. But is lighter than a Dell high capacity battery.

So how well does it Fit? Its fine, definitely not the smooth slide and click of the original but if you wiggle it a little it'll snap snug in place and lock. Once it is in I don't take it off anyways - so fit is a small issue in the scheme of things. No gaps, doesn't wiggle when in place, and contacts connect together.

Now to the important part. For my specific XPS 1330 configuration with replaced higher speed 4Gb RAM, and faster 7200rpm HD, and the NVidia 8400GS video (uses more power), I'm averaging 4.5 hours with one charge now. First couple of charges the battery lasted just under 4 hours so I was worried. but after 3-4 cycles it reached to capacity. So the battery was fairly fresh. My software battery monitor tool says the actual capacity is 7260. So slightly higher than spec'd. I'll likely report back a little later to see how long this thing lasts. If all the cells hold up, then it should be OK.

Would I recommend it? Based on my current experience yes. You get 70% performance of the Dell battery for 20% the cost.

This battery was not what I ordered... It was a "no name" battery literally, with lower capacity. After investigation I found it was one that Eznsmart produced themselves and was not even approved yet. I ordered an AGPtek and received something totally different. The return process has been brutal and I still haven't received my credit. Be careful when you buy from Eznsmart, I would stromgly advise against it!

Do not order this, just save yourself the time and trouble.
Yes, it is cheap and you get what you pay for,in this case,a generic 10.8V piece of junk.
This is not an AGPtek product.
Amazon needs to dump this seller immediately.

Bought as a replacement for my 2 year old Dell XPS M1330 after the 6-cell Dell battery died (would not hold a charge). Dell's replacement battery price seemed overly expensive. This new battery works fine, but it does add about 1/2" height to the laptop - not as easy to store in my laptop bag, but when I have the laptop sitting on my legs, the extra 1/2" at the back raises the bottom off my legs and reduces the heat-transfer, which makes it more comfortable to use.

Review after 6 months of use:
Bought this product 6 months ago with a lot of skepticism and almost certain that I was pouring $40 down the drain buying a cheap aftermarket battery for my top of the line Dell XPS M 1330 (2 years old at that time).

Let me tell you, the original Dell battery sucked from the start, it was a 4 cell or something, couldn't power the laptop more than 30 mins at a time from day one. When I ordered this battery, the OEM battery had a life of 2 to 4 minutes... Did my research, was certain I wanted better battery life like a 9-cell - 3 hrs or something like that. Dell.com said I'd have to shell almost $200 with taxes, shipping, etc. which I found very very hard to accept - TWO HUNDRED $$$ for a battery when you can get laptops for around $300... Nope I was definitely not going to pay that much for a battery.

Now my experience with this battery:
Off the bat, GREAT GREAT GREAT!!! Fully charged can power my laptop for over 3 hrs... playing movies, songs, working on Office docs etc. After 6 months of regular use, still has not lost any appreciable capacity. For me this beats the Dell batteries hands-down.

Only point of caution: sometimes if the battery is fully depleted, it might not accept recharging when you plug the wall charger in. To avoid this scenario, I just put the laptop into sleep mode when battery life falls below 5%. In case you forget to do this and run the battery dry, the fix that works for me is to detach the battery from the laptop, wait 30 seconds and then re-attach it. Works everytime. Also, sometimes i've found that unplugging the wall charger and replugging it in after waiting 10 or 15 secs also resolves the problem. This issue I feel is less a battery issue but most probably is a Dell programming that tries to block out non-OEM batteries.

Also, I found that the battery is probably has nanometers difference in its port / hooks / clips sizing so it goes in a little tight the first few times, but after a couple of docking and ejects the hooks / clips become more smooth. This is minor point for $160 savings.
Don't waste your money on the Dell battery.

Just received the battery today and found out that it was not produced by AGPtek,instead, it was a "no name" product as indicted by one of the reviews. I ordered this battery from Laptopmate, and it is fulfilled by Amazon! I feel shame on Amazon for fulfilling a faked product.

Well, I purchased this battery for my XPS M1330 about 2 months ago and it works awesome so far. I get about 4hrs of life out of it on the 'max performance' setting and about 5 1/2 give or take on the 'power saver'. The only flaw to this battery that I can pick out is the charge rate. If I discharge the battery completely it takes 6hrs or so to recharge to %100 but thats not a concern for me. I am buying another one just for traveling!

Still works Great! The only change is that the built-in battery charge indicator lights stopped working. but i never used it that much anyway. the indicator on my desktop still works great. hasn't lost charge ability, still takes forever to charge, but i just leave it on the charger at night.

I'm very happy with this battery. I can use my XPS longer than ever so now I always carry my XPS anywhere without the charger. One charge can last the normal usage up to 6 to 7 hours!! The battery lift up the rear end of the laptop about 2cm, which help better ventilation. I recommend this to you!!

The good thing with this seller is if you have any issue with the battery that you purchased from this seller. And if you feel that the battery is not working fine, they will take good care of the customer and in exchange they give you a new battery. For the first time when i bought a battery from them it was not performing so well so i sent a email to the seller and they responded back by giving me an offer with a new battery exchange and the new one is working good.
