I bought this because I like the name and cover. I have heard that Dimitri from Paris has pretty good taste. I cannot beleive how brilliant this album is. I'm not a crate digger or club head, but I try and keep up to date and this album is a total find. The music is beyond anything I have, there's so much of it and it's all brilliant. DJ Muro's CD takes your head off, the mixing and the tracks are out of this world. I'm dancing to this three times a day. Dimitri's is just groove after groove. It just doesn't stop, really bad ass rare tunes that rock the party, this is Playboy Mansions part II.

After the brillance of Cocktail Disco, I was hoping to learn more of the disco progession of Dimtri from Paris. What I learned is that he has far reaching musical intersts and that Super Disco Friends is not merely an early draft of Cocktail Disco.

Super Disco Friends is much of the funk version of disco. Of course, there are some cuts which do show the sensibility of Cocktail Disco. Super Disco Friends is a good work in and of itself if one is into such genre.

Just picked this one up a few days ago...LORDY LORDY. Has to be just about the BEST CD I've bought in 5 years. Yes...5 YEARS.

I've been collecting Dimitri's CDs ever since LCD Soundsystem's debut came out, and he was talking about "losing his edge" to all the kids from France. I figured Dimitri just MIGHT be one of the people he was talking about. Well, if he wasn't he shoulda been, cause this Dimitri fellow is INSANE! Sacrebleu, Deluxe House of Funk, Playboy Mansion (I'm STILL stuck on that PLACE IS ROCKIN by Pascal Rioux) and Cruising Attitude. Fabulous music, every single release.

Super Disco Friends is FANTASTIC. It was worth the $12 for GET FLY and DO YOU WANNA DANCE alone. But you also get ARE YOU READY, BOOGIE TO THE BOP and HURT SO BAD right along with em. FREAK OUT!!!!

In all honesty, I haven't gotten to listen to Muro's disc as thoroughly as I would have liked yet (I can't stop playing Dimitri's), but he really knows his stuff. He's got a very unique style about him and his transitions are SICK. Grade A stuff right here.

Dimitri, if you're out there and you're reading this...will you please be my friend? Cause I'm ready not to dance alone, and boy...you sure did BRING IT ON HOME!!!

This is one of the best disco compilations ever, hands down! The song selection and mixes are just perfect. You can find here some of those gems that if you are lucky enough to find, you will be paying $500 or more per single. This is a compilation that would be enjoyed a little bit more for those who are not 'beginners' to the disco style. Cd 1 by Dimitri is perfect, the mixes are flawless. Cd 2 by DJ Muro is my favorite though, it is one of the best mixes I ever heard, Bravo!! If you are looking for something not commercial at all, this is the right cd set for you. You will enjoy it for sure!
