4.0 out of 5 stars grunge influences, May 11, 2006
This review is from: Super Duper (Audio CD)
well, valentine saloon are most probably glam rock band turned into Grunge as the 90's rolled in. Sir Jack Endino Produced this one, so you know what to expect.
Good thick, grungy sounds and guitars, strictly for the people who like this genre.
I liked it, I think You will too. GET IT

5.0 out of 5 stars AWESOME SUPER DUPER CD !!, September 30, 2011
This review is from: Super Duper (Audio CD)

Another one of those early 90 rock releases ! This baby gives us a kick in the butt! If you havent heard this cd then its time to put your money into good use and bring back some good rock n roll into your life. These guys had it all and every song on this cd is a good listen providing some great music and lyrics. You can perhaps hear some grunge influence in the tone but then again I seem to hear some of " The Cult " influences maybe its William Jewells voice he sounds alot like Ian. If I heard parts of it and didnt know who it was I would say Im listening to a Cult cd especially the song Flying Machine, then again the song Private Revolution sounds just like something from INXS. But mostly they have their own sound and its a darn good one at that Im glad that my bud suggested it to me and its probably the best 5 bucks that Ive ever spent on a cd. Valentine Saloon's Super Duper was just that Super Duper.

The title list goes as follows:

1. Mind Bomb
2. Cadillac King Revolver
3. Smothered in Daisy
4. Under My Skin
5. Flying Machine
6. Mrs Jones
7. Soak
8. Sentimental Girl
9. Private Revolution
10. Why I like It
11. Firin' Line
12. Tangerine

This is another one of those cds that went under the national radar and escaped our ears I definitely would have bought it in 1994 and played the hell out of it which is what Im doing now. Valentine Saloon will be a great find for your listening rock n roll pleasure so grab ya a copy and let me know what ya think!!!
