Bowling at the North Pole,

= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Super Elf Bowling Collection (CD-ROM)
This game apparently has just been re-released as "Elf Bowling 7-1/2 - The Last Insult" which I had to purchase from a retail store. I found it quite creative, graphically and better than the average bowling game out there.
Compared to "Polar Bowler" (sold as a combo pak with "Polar Golfer", in retail stores on the CD-ROM version, which is also a very good game in its own right), I would give "Elf Bowling" the advantage in overall refinements, and enjoyable to play. "Saints and Sinners Bowling" is another good bowling game, but the most "realistic" as a computer simulation, is "Fast Lanes Bowling". "Elf Bowling" and "Polar Bowler" both are cartoon-like, Christmas themed, games, so appropriate as gifts during the Holiday Season. Children and adults alike will enjoy these games. Picking up a split, just like real bowling, is very difficult, but just as rewarding. There is appropriate fanfare for getting a strike, and "dirty trick" and power up aids as variations to regular bowling. These are in the form of lane obstacles - some helpful and harmless to roll over, and others to be avoided, that add another dimension and make bowling games generally more fun to play. You can always just "practice" playing by yourself or bowl against the computer with serveral different characters to choose from, each with unique skill levels. Or, you can play against other human players, each alternately taking his or her turn. For those with Vista PCs, I have had no issues, with any of these games installing except for "Saints and Sinner Bowling", but be sure to get the latest versions, and make sure they say "Vista compatible" on the packaging just to be sure.

This review is from: Super Elf Bowling Collection (CD-ROM)
The original Elf Bowling by NStorm came out in 1999. The game was free and very entertaining. Since then they have made different variations on the game.
My home computer died recently, and with it I lost Elf Bowling. I spent hours looking for it on the internet, but I couldn't find it, or when I did, I couldn't download it, so I was very pleased that I found it at Amazon.com. You can tell how much I love the game by the time I spent searching for it. The CD has 5 versions of Elf Bowling, none of them alike, and I have spent hours playing the different games. It is very addictive. The graphics are fantastic, even on the original. The elves misbehave, and are rude, but no worse than Bart Simpson on the Simpsons. All in all, this is a great purchase.

Wish it was still shareware,
This review is from: Super Elf Bowling Collection (CD-ROM)
I played the first elf bowling when it first came out on the net as share ware. I guess it became pretty popular since you now have to purchase it to play it.
I would recommend this game only as something to do if you bored or to get a few laughs. You play as Santa trying to bowl down your elves which have gone on strike. It can be fun at times but is not at all challenging unless you try to hit the animals and stuff although I've never been able to get the frog. Note: Amazon has the best deal I've seen for this game.
