entertaining, sly, and multifaceted record, October 31, 1999

The opening bass and synth makes you think immediately of cheesy 80's rock and you want to turn it off - yet you don't. This band has something to say, and you're compelled to listen. Are they saying "it's been over for a long time " about a girl (or boy) , or is it about something else entirely. From the opening track, we are lead through numerous styles, genres, and periods of music - yet always with the same sardonic joy. Even the title seems to say it all - or does it?
