4.0 out of 5 stars Good resource for math teachers., June 11, 2008
This review is from: 25 Super-Fun Math Spinner Games (Grades 3-5) (Paperback)
This book is a good resource to have kids practice and drill math concepts. It contains both new games and also variations of known games like domino, bingo, tic-tac-toe but always using a spinner with numbers as the basic tool. There are several concepts that can be practiced like whole number operations, geometry, probability, measurement, fractions and some more. Some of the activities include critical thinking skills like having the kids write their own story problems to a given answer. Other activities are easier like just having the kids make operations with the mathematical symbols included in the spinner.

Although there is a wide variety of games, I think it eventually tends to be boring for the kids if you use it a lot, because it always deals with a spinner. I recommend better, the book "25 super cool math board games", because it reinforces the same concepts but with a larger variety of games.
