Super Goofballs: Book 3, Super Underwear...and Beyond!

This is a parent's perspective review and is really intended toward this author's entire Goofball series. Here is my Reader's Digest version: we were given book 1 and 2, my third grade son Andrew completed the first before bed the first night, had read second the next morning I am told. He said he really enjoyed the books, the humor, etc., but interestingly, liked them more than some of his other sophomoric favorites, e.g.: Diary of ...Wimpy Kid, Worm, etc., Captain Underpants, and others, as these new books had full pages of text rather than large illustrations with a sentence or two placed here and there. Apparently, I understand there is actually character development within the series as well as plots and sub-plots within each of these mini-chapter books, which took him just under an hour cover-to-cover compared to 10-15 minutes with some of the aforementioned. So, knowing that he enjoyed the books and wanting to encourage reading versus video games, I splurged and purchased books 3 through 6 on Amazon. He's now read one each night before going to bed and is asking for more.

I read all the Super Goofballs books. 3 is cool when it shows where thelost underwear and socks go. Laundromaniac and the goons are so funny. Mighty TIghty Whitey is the best.Fantastic! Elastic! Sarcastic! And I like his tubesock cousin and parents.The story is funny and exciting. And I like the goofball band!

I am a fan of this series and so is my son. He can't wait to read the next book in this series! (This, coming from a boy who used to be glued to his video games.) Thank you Peter Hannan!
