Super Grip Clothespins -- like the good old days,

I am glad to have found these clothespins, which are sturdy and strong, like plastic clothespins USED to be. I use clothespins for several things, and have been frustrated with what is available on the market today. First, most stores seem not to carry the plastic ones, and second, the ones that do carry what I call "toy clothespins." These are like what the dollar stores carry--they're lightweight and poorly made--and worth what you pay for them.
If I continue not to be able to buy quality clothespins in my tiny village of close to 4 million people (Houston), I will order these again.

The picture of these pins doesn't show you that they do not have the tiny cut out hole above the main opening like the regular wooden versions do. So, when you hang your clothes, the line can only go through the main opening, which is quite large. This means that with the slightest breeze your clothes easily move on the line and clump together, not allowing them to dry. The only way I could figure out how to solve this problem was to put the laundry item up against the line and put the clip over both. The clothes stay put, but it's a bit of an annoying process and sometimes the clips leave bunch marks on the clothing.
I see that some of the other plastic pins sold here do have that little hole, but it sounds like they aren't as sturdy. These pins do seem pretty well constructed otherwise.

These clothspins are excellent. Grip well, and hold tight, even on windy days. I use them with both my rope style line, my plastic line, and my plastic coated wire clothes lines. They grip on all!
Very sturdy plastic. If I had one gripe, it is that they are manufactured in China. I was hoping since the company was in the united states that the pins were made here as well. They aren't...

These are the BEST..You will always look for them again when you need some. Easier to use because they are longer.

Don't Last,

I really liked these clothespins when I first bought them two years ago at my local store, but now, this year that the weather is nice and I am hanging clothes outdoors again, they are breaking. It is mostly happening to the white ones, but I have lost a few of the medium and dark green ones too. They are just snapping in my hand. I actually ended up with a cut on one of my fingers. It wasn't deep, thank goodness, but definitely not something one would expect when hanging laundry.
I do not leave my clothespins outside all of the time. Once all the laundry is done, I bring the clothespins in too, so I can't blame the plastic fatigue on the elements. It is unfortunate because I really did like these pins when I bought them. They just don't last, and I am the type of person who believes things should last. Especially in this tough economy.

got exactly what I ordered. I buy the plastic clothes pins versus wood because they dont leave stains on the clothes. I leave them on the clothes line all year long because I hang my clothes out all year long. I know they won't last as the older ones I have (they don't make things like the used to), but if I get 3 years use before they start breaking I will be happy.

Not Too Super,

I needed clothespins that would hold the laundry in place, even on breezy days. These do not, and I still end up using a bizzillion pins per item to be dried.

Wonderful clothespins - rip off price,

These are the best clothespins for outdoor use on the market. I purchased mine many, many years ago and leave them outside on the line winter and summer - just slide them together so they look neat. Love the fact that they slide easily up and down the line. Haven't had any problems with clothes sliding around (see review below).
But they are finally beginning to fade and crack so I decided to replace them. Could not find any locally so searched online. I was horrified to see this outrageous price. Kept searching and the price kept dropping. I was finally able to order them from a hardware store for $3.79 for a pack of 36. Identical Homz product with identical packaging and manufacturer's product number. Buyer Beware! |
