2.0 out of 5 stars Has everything except perspective
This book has everything except perspective. Its information on diet, exercise, nutritional supplements, and stress reduction is fantastic. Follow the advice here, and you may live to be 100. The problem is, you won't want to. By the time you give up most of your salt, chocolate, soft drinks, caffeine, and starch, you'll want to die. So, the first thing you need to know...

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is the answer to total health, March 22, 2006
I received the Super Health: Seven golden Keys to Lifelong Vitality and it has changed my health and life. After reading many books on diet and health, this is the first complete compilation of information bound together with a livable system to guide you . Unlike one of the other reviewers, I want to know all the information on what affects my health in order to make informed decisions on the options I have on food, exercise and environment. I see this book as a guide to optimizing my lifestyle for vibrant health and energy not as rigid restictions that must be met at all times.

I have adopted most of the book's recommendations in my life over the last 3 months and I have lost 30 pounds, overcome sleep apnea, developed a more intimate relationship with God and recieve much greater joy and satisfaction from my life.

I recommend this book to everyone who believes they can achieve more from life than they are right now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Helpful Book, October 4, 2005

Lisa D. (San Francisco, CA) - See all my reviews
In the past few months, my grandmother and mother have been diagnosed and re-diagnosed with breast cancer. When I found out my mother's cancer had returned after thirteen years, it really scared me. I decided that I wanted to do something for myself so that I wouldn't end up in the same situation and this book has totally helped. The book is easy to read and very insightful. It's based on research but never uses tricky medical language, and the lifestyle changes are easy to make. I really like this book. I also checked out the website the author mentions --- [...]---and I found a lot of helpful stuff there too. I definitely give this book a 5 star rating!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful Book for College Students, October 24, 2005
As a college professor and parent of a college student, I thoroughly enjoyed this book. In fact, I mailed a copy to my daughter, who just started classes at the University of Iowa, and she absolutely loved it, as well. Unfortunately, these days teenagers aren't well-educated when it comes to feeding their bodies properly, and many gain the dreaded "freshman 15" when they move out on their own, primarly because they make poor food choices (pizza, fast food, soda and other junk). In plain, easy-to-understand terms, this book does a good job at teaching the fundamentals of good nutrition, and I highly recommend it as a "care package item" for parents to send to their college kids, to help them understand the importance of eating properly. Other books for your college kids I highly recommend are:

*"How to Ace Your Way Through College and Still Have a Life" (Good, smart advice for college students)

*"Getting Things Done" (Solid advice for procrastinating students)

*"Working with Words": A good reference guide

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book!, October 7, 2005
7 Golden Keys to Lifelong Vitality is packed with information about nutrition and lifestyle that everyone would benefit from knowing. Craichy is not only inspirational, he gives practical direction to help achieve and maintain optimal health. I also purchased the companion fitness journal that helps to apply and track lifestyle changes. He has great website, as well. I thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend this book.

Easy read with very revealing facts about how to simply change your eating and living habits and combat the negative influences on healthy living that are so prevalent in today's culture.

Combine this with Living Fuel meal replacements and snack bars (I have been for over a year and can attest to the value in day to day energy increase for work, parenting and my extracurricular activities) and you have a sustainable way to keep weight off, increase energy and prevent some of the most plaguing illnesses we face each year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Health is a seriously helpful - and enjoyable - book!, February 7, 2011
As the country debates the merits of a mandated health care system, I began to wonder what would happen if we followed sound health advice as a nation? In K.C. Craichy's ground breaking book, Super Health, preventative measures are abundantly described and incredibly useful. Unlike foolish, flash in the pan diets or health programs that advocate eating grapefruit with every meal ( can you say acid reflux! ), the advice throughout Super Health can best be described as common sense. Maybe they should have named it the " Benjamin Franklin Diet " ! While health and health insurance programs focus on treating the symptoms, this book is loaded with preventative measures I can take with my family to ensure optimum health. The information about healthy drinking water options revealed a very different overview of bottled water and the importance of hydration

5.0 out of 5 stars Super Health is Super!, February 10, 2009
Super Health 7 Golden Keys to Unlock Lifelong Vitality is the best book about improving health I've ever read, and I've ready many of them. KC Craichy presents the path to lifelong health in a way that's clear and easy to understand. I've taught martial arts fitness for more than 40 years and know how important these 7 Golden Keys are to unlocking personal vitality for a lifetime. The truths of these keys are more than just about living a long life. They are also about greatly improving the long life you will live. I am a firm believer in the principles of this book and highly recommend it to everyone who cares about being healthy for the rest of their life.
