5.0 out of 5 stars If you like Aqua, you'll love Daze
This CD is much more enjoyable than Aqua's Aquarium (which is one of my favorites). While Aqua may have better songs, they also have some clunkers. Every song on this Daze album is good. It is true that Euro-dance music is very catchy and danceable, and the lyrics are very simple and childish - no one can call this type of music technically "sophisticated"...

3.0 out of 5 stars Would have been better if more original!
This is a fairly good CD but I wouldn't pay full price because some of their songs sound awfully close to other dance music from the past. And others just sound weak. They could learn a few things from Vitamic C or Dream.

5.0 out of 5 stars If you like Aqua, you'll love Daze, October 1, 1999

This CD is much more enjoyable than Aqua's Aquarium (which is one of my favorites). While Aqua may have better songs, they also have some clunkers. Every song on this Daze album is good. It is true that Euro-dance music is very catchy and danceable, and the lyrics are very simple and childish - no one can call this type of music technically "sophisticated" or "mature" - but it reminds me of 80's Hi-NRG dance music which incorporated catchy pop hooks with simple danceable rhythms. This type of music does not try to be serious or hard-edge. It does not wish to make any serious political or social statement. It does not attempt to be overly sexual or violent. It is simply catchy pop music with a heavy emphasis on percussion. My 5-year old daughter loves it as much as I do. My 15-year old sister loves it as much as my mother. It's happy, light, catchy, and makes you want to dance. It is probably the opposite of hip-hop, or R&B. It sounds like techno without the hard edge. I only wish the Italians would form a Euro-dance group (they produced some of the best 80's Euro dance music), but as long as their neighbors to the north continue to make such fun music, I'll continue to buy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheese at its best!, October 30, 2003

Daze is one of those Eurodance bands that never got the recognition that it deserved. While bands like Eiffel 65, Vengaboys, and Aqua flourished in the mid-to-late 90s, Daze was quietly overlooked. Those other bands are great in their own right, but Daze was able to make dance music that was fun and had good lyrics too. They didn't treat their listeners as if they were thoughtless idiots just dancing to the beat. They gave their songs a little uuummmpphhhh....which makes this album totally wonderful to listen from beginning to end. If you are a devoted Eurodance fan, you must try and find this great album. You won't be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Daze : Superheroes, November 26, 2002
This review is from: Super Heroes (Audio CD)
Well...They come from Denmark, big breakthrough came in 1997, but before that they have done songs like this together about 6 years. So if you think that they're copycats of Aqua you're so wrong baby...
Superheroes may not be the best dance album nut it is sure one of the best. Songs like Tamagotchi, Be my lover, In the middle of the night, Toy boy, Tic toc and especially Sea of love are damn good dancetracks and you should pop this little baby everytime you're in the party mood.
I can promise you. It is great. Let it have you!...

5.0 out of 5 stars Start Dancing!, December 23, 2001
This review is from: Super Heroes (Audio CD)
This cd is awesome. Everysong will keep you dancing and all of them are catchy. This is pure Euro-Dance and is very similar to Aqua and Toybox. (High pitched woman vocalist and Low Pitched male vocalists). Get this if you like cachy dance music.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cool, upbeat, and fun!!!, March 7, 1999

Personally, I like this album more than Aqua's "Aquarium." "Super Heroes" delivers that awesome eurodance that is hard to find here in the states. It's this great sound that keeps me moving and happy. I hate to say it, but European dance music is much better than American dance, and Daze has proved my right again!

Then you should love this album! More fun music with lyrics that aren't ALL just fluff (although there is that, too). Great rhythm, sure to get you moving, and the singer has a great voice (not abnormally high like some of the other bands).

Definitely one to check out for Euro-pop fans!

5.0 out of 5 stars IF YOU LOVE AQUA, YOU'LL LOVE DAZE!!!, February 11, 1999

This review is from: Super Heroes (Audio CD)
This is light, catchy, energetic Eurodance at it's best! I feel disloyal for saying it, but I like this CD even better than Aqua. The first reviewer is right-this is not "mature" music, its not serious either, its UPBEAT and FUN!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars dance, dance, dance, January 6, 1999
This review is from: Super Heroes (Audio CD)
I love all these European groups with their happy and gitty music. I first heard Daze at a club this summer. The song was "Together Forever." This song is about a cyber pet singing to her master. It's so catchy and fun. The rest of the c.d. is strong too. Hopefully, we'll hear more of them in the States in the future. Would highly recomend!
