I attended a concert recently in Savannah, Georgia, where I got to hear Gary Puckett sing his all-time greatest hits. He was incredible, and sounded as great as ever. And, man, did the memories of yester-year come rushing back! That's why I bought this cd. I wanted a cd with the just the absolute greatest hits. This is it. All of Gary Puckett and the Union Gap's original recordings of their greatest hits on one cd. This cd is absolutely fantastic, and a "must" for every true Gary Puckett fan!

Gary Puckett and the Union Gap made upbeat music typical of the late sixties. Young girl and Lady Willpower were huge transatlantic hits in 1968, Young girl topping the UK charts. Woman woman, Over you and This girl is a woman now were other notable American hits. All five of those wonderful songs can be found here. Among the other songs here are excellent covers of By the time I get to Phoenix (Glen Campbell) and I just don't know what to do with myself (Dusty Springfield).

Although I think that the Golden Classic edition (which I've already reviewed) is worth the extra cost, Gary and his band had very few hits and you can get all the essentials on this budget collection.

I had been looking for this CD for quite a while and was thrilled to find it here on Amazon. I love all of the songs on it.

This CD sure brought back a lot of memories. It has all the popular songs that I listened to on the radio when I was younger and I'm thrilled to have this collection now. The lead singer has a clear, powerful voice that puts a lot of emotion into his songs.

Gary Puckett and the Union Gap sure made some great music and this cd has good compilation.
