(I don't usually go for short reviews, but I don't have much to say here)

Jefferson Starship's 'Super Hits' contains nothing but five star music here, and that is why I'm giving this five stars. Read on for the positives and negatives.

POSITIVES
-Two songs that were unavailable on CD, 'Black Widow' and 'Magician' appear on 'Super Hits,' making this the reason to buy it for die-hard fans.
-The sound quality is superb!
-It's cheap. You can find this at a great price in many places.
-You can find it at many record stores or places you shop.

NEGATIVES
-Way too short. In an era where we have 80 minutes per CD, and where we can fit at least 16 or 17 songs per compilation, this CD offers only 10. Come on, BMG, more music please!
-Where are songs like 'Layin' It On The Line'?

Overall, buy this for the two rare tracks. This is recommended for the casual fan and die-hard Jefferson Starship fan (for the rare tracks).

I bought this for the songs "Magician" and "Black Widow" which are both unavailable on cd at this point.

"Count on Me" is an incredible song but, as with other songs on other cds, it sounds like it was being played slightly too slow when being recorded onto this cd. I still have Jefferson Starship songs on cassette and it's a real shame how cds have ruined the great sounds of great songs.

"Devil's Den" had some instruments faded out with the voice more prominent. I really wish these people putting music on cds would stop screwing with them or deciding how the music should be heard.

"Magician" should have been a longer, drawn-out song since it sounds great. It is too short for a song.

Overall, there are not enough good songs on here but the price is right and Grace Slick looks good on the cover too. Why radio dismissed her as too old when she did solo recordings is another example of what's wrong with radio.
