Well i can say this is a nice compilation for a great price , I had to have it just for the stuff off "beatin the odds" which is out of print (go figure) "The Rambler " is 1 of my Favorite songs by the band so i had to have this song on cd , I have to agree the album cover is awfull .... The problem with this cd is the Mastering is average so the songs don't sound as good as they could , check out the Molly hatchet remasters , if your looking for songs like Flirting with disaster or bounty hunter , better off buying those cd's that were remastered , i'm 1 of the few that thought Jimmy farrar was a better singer & prefer those albums so got this ..... Fun album for the money .

The Usual, Plus Some Curiosities,
By A Customer
This review is from: Super Hits (Audio CD)
SUPER HITS is an unusual Molly Hatchet compilation. It contains a few songs that you know, plus a few you may have forgotten. You get the original versions of "Bloody Reunion", "Respect Me In The Morning", and "Dead Giveaway", but the centerpiece is the epic ballad "Fall Of The Peacemakers", which asks how long bad things will continue to happen to good people. Moreover, all of the surviving members of Molly Hatchet, past and present, currently advocate sanctions against Indonesia in retaliation for that country's recent trumped-up drug-smuggling conviction of a young Australian tourist, proving that they have brains as well as brawn. This is an interesting addition to any Southern rock record library.

They've had better album covers......,
By "bswiss" (Buffalo) - See all my reviews

When I was a kid, I figured these guys were a metal band. Their other album covers look like something Iron Maiden or Ozzy would come up with. Damned if I wasn't wrong. Hatchet ranks right up there with Skynyrd (even if they seem to have a disdain for them, and several other great musicians in "Gator Country") for in your face southern rock. "Flirtin' With Disaster" is my favorite, and really tests the speakers on my Superduty every time. I give this one a 4, only for the ballad "Fall of the Peacemakers". I never did like John Lennon. Skip that track, and you have a damn good disc!
